If not, why not?
Don't have an answer for that one.
If I should join an empire, why?
It is our was of being a team. Since you can't compete via GC online we do it via the meta. Part of the meta is the empires you see. I think it adds another welcomed element to the game. I played for a few months w/ out submitting to the meta or being in an empire. It is a lot more fun since I have been a Guardian. You are certianly welcome in any th
How come you're a rookie if you are a "Veteran"?
Nah hes not a rookie. If oyur people are happy you will win the election. This means high Morale. If your morale is below 50 you will probably loose the election. 50 to 55 gives you about a 50% chance of winning. Above 55 Morale and you should not have a problem. You can do this by setting your tak rate where you want it, click the planet icon, lower leftof screen, scroll through the sort options, top right of screen
If you trade something for a freighter w/ one of the AI I think its origin is the closest Terran planet in relation to where the ship was when you aquired it.
Make sure your moral do not drop to below 50% or your population will start to migrate(to where no one knows) thus your amount of tax collected will be low. Play with the tax slider untill u get the most of tax without lowing your moral to below 50%.
The other side to this form of play is to keep your tax rate at a level that gives 100% morale. 100% morale gives you max pop growth. More people = more taxes. I try to keep morale at 100% until the second up issue 2186 I
Well stated Alex. Your score degrading would help me in the long run, but it is the principle of the matter. Being a new player as compared to most it was fustrating making the long climb up. Then to see some of you guys taking big point hits while others seem imune. Stardock, if you don't want other players leaving, and perhaps not buying GCII, I would reccommend you fix the problem at hand.
Your welcome. Also if you keep spending and reach the highest level you occasionally steal a tech from another AI. You also can learn the AI techs when conquering one of there planets. Another part of the fun of this game is the Forums. Not only this one but Empire forums as well. There is a tab that says Empires on the left side of your screen. If you feel so inclined check out some of those threads too. Perhaps join an empire to your liking. [Message Edited]
Thanks for the vote of confidence Marquesa. :SURPRISED: ;) LOL
If you use spying on all races you will get a pop-up tellignyou that a race declared war on another race. Or that 2 races made peace. You shpuld get these pop-ups as soon as you start spying. I don't think you have to wait to reach a certian level.
3 and change on the east coast. A happy New year to all.
P.S. Technician, just lay it out for me, step by step. I want to know how YOU do it
I fear that if you get a step by step you will go straight to the maso level. Not that that is a bad thing, but it takes alot of fun learning the nuiances of the game. With that being said there is a stratigies thread on the left of the screen that may assist you. I have develpoed my stratagey from 4 or five from there.
What color are the suns?
Once you understand the base game mods do add alot of variation and more enjoyment to the game.
Try military building this way. Set to build colony ships on sol. As you colonize continue to set your planets for colony ships until you think you have enough in production (that depends on commoness of planets that you picked). Once you have enough colony ships switch to constructors. I takes quite a while to build so once you have the trade tech you can switch your constructors to freighter and you will have several freighters quickly. Then switch back to constructors or what ever else y
Yes x 2 :)
I used this mod for a while. You will have to renumber the modules to get it to work. You can download the GalCiv writer to renumber them or use notepad as described above. I did not have any problems with the mod when I was using it.
Will the "new" Meta be available when GCII is released in Beta? Or will we have to wait until beta testing is over?
You can get some more events in the library to download. They will not change the frequency at which they happen but there are some in there that make morality swings easier. Happy Gamming. There is a download to lower the volume for the music too. I don't know if it works as I do not have it installed.
Verify thay you typed it in exactly as it reads. Caps, Numbers.
How do i beat level where I'm supposed to culturally assimilate the torians?
Build influence enhancements. And lots of cultural starbases. Rearsearch cultural techs. That type of game typically takes a long time.
You can lease (rush buy) but it is very expensive and can put your economy in the hole quickly. How fast the AI completes military, social, or reasearch depends on the level you are playing. The lower the level the longer they take. Depending on the pol party and starting picks you take you can increase these indiviual areas. I play very heavy economics so by the year 2185 I can start rush buying and still ahve a positive balance 200-500 bc/month even w/ spending at 100%. If your treasury i
Agreed, 1 gane is under your profile for today. Did you play and submitt again. If not your origional did submitt :notsure: :)
Welcome to the "GAME" Johnus. The answer your looking for depends on several things. hat type of ship are you trying to attack with? Not all ships can attack. The Star Fighter is the first ship you can build with an attack value. The survey ship you start of with won't attack until you have hit a couple +attack annomolies. Could you be a little more specific so we can help more? Ask lots of questions and enjoy the game. Check out the Empires tab on the left of your screen. Lots of good
Present and Accounted for. Standing by for Quarters, Inspection, and Instruction.
The game does not cheat. I thought it did to until I learned how to play at Maso (All AI at Incredible). It only gets more difficult the higher you go in difficulty. You can adjust the intelligence levels in the set up screen. Start with every one at normal and see how you do. The game has a large learning curve. The are stratagies in the main forum and lots of hints and tips all over the main and empire forums. Speaking of empires, you should check them all out, and perhaps join one. Lo
