Galciv writer is a easy program to work with. There used to be a link at the Embassy but I don't think its there now. We will find you a link.

Most of the mods have a read me with them. If they have a read me with them then follow it. Unzip them to your Galciv/mods folder. Be careful of downloading anything directly to galciv/data folder as it may re-write some of the info. .pcx files gp in the gfx folder. every thing else in the /mods or / data folder. UP issues have their own folder under /data or /mods soput them in there. The folder name is "upissues". The expanded universe should have installed directly when you downloaded
Bump, Just to keep the thread up where everyone can see it.
Words of wisdom from the master.
AP is a definite need to have.
Try re-typing in your e-mail address before clicking "REGISTRATION BUTTON".
If you have purchased AP check the reg number in the window when you register. When I updated it changed my "00" number to "OO" leter. I changed it back and it worked fine.
Uncle Sams Misguided Children :) :) LOL LOL I am a Navy guy myself. Though not a corpsman. Fuels is my speciality. Statioined in Norfolk. I got a flight surgeon friend in Port Huneme (sp). I'll see if he can get you patched up. If you can't get fixed by tomorrow we may have to muster the walking blood bank for NEO ops to keep you a steady flow of blood until Cari can apply a bandage to your sucking chest wound and splint the multiple cpmpound fractures. At least your finger s

Welcome Aboard StoweMobile. It will take several games to get the hang of it. Start at the lowest level and play there until you are comfortable before moving up. It is a very complex game! But very fun. Using the Metaverse and joining an empire greatly adds to the sttraction and playability of the game. Side note: I have only been playing for a couple of months myself and I have been been able to get a couple of cool medals myself. So relax, be patient, ask any question you have
Litcube I disagree with you. But I respect your right to say it.
Litcube, Perhaps the game is designed they way it might actually happen. I would not consider it cheating if an alien race had the advantage on me. The advantage does not last long. If you let the intro go all of the way through with out clicking you can see someone landing on a human planet finding a girl with a teddy bear. I don't think he came for tea with the way it clinches its fists. Sure they have big bonuses. Design a political party that has big bonuses and some negatives so the a
What is the Alternate Metaverse? I'm with Peace. I like to see where I rank against all other players. Being fairly new it has taken a while to climb over the "dead weight" associated with players who have gone on to other things.
That's why I am getting my butt kicked. [Message Edited]
Any one know what Huge Primal is? Meta took my score. I checked several other player profiles but it seems few are running 1.51a. Shows up as 1.52. [Message Edited]
3)When I killed the above route, the popup for trade route discontinued read "...trade route 42949667295..."
Every time I conquered a planet in my last game I got a message like this. Usually 5 - 7 times toward the end of the game.

PB, maybe because your games are so quick. Not enough time goes thorough in the game for the event to trigger. I just asked this same scenerio in the Guardian forum. I don't think it deals with spying. It happened when I was just about to destroy another race. Seems like there are 2 seperate events going on in this thread. They don't get the ships because of not spying. You will get the mad foreign race with out spying though.
Don't load to many. Have your origional planet continue producing colony ships at a fast rate so you can expand quicker. My normal launch is 150 to 160 billion.
Wish it were still in there too. Nice to know who is trading with who. Don't want to tick off the most powerful civ in the galaxy by destroying there trading partner. :)
Fuels Chief made it too.
I use the give'em a planet for stolen tech's and immediately invade all of the time. If you can't get all of the techs for the planet save let them keep the best one. Providing it is there only tech left you will get it when you invade anyway.
Sone players use this as a strategy (myself included). Build up high culture SB's in a neutral sector adjacent to the race you want to take over next. Add on a healty helping of militatry additions to your SB turn it into a Terror Star move it into the other races sector and culture flip them. It takes some time but it also males for a lot less planents you have to invade.
