Cetane
Correct. Don't patch during a game. You will get CTD.
Yep, All true :)
I understand this isn't viable at higher difficulties, but at Normal it works fine unless you Ally with someone and they drag you into a war.
It is a viable option. One that I use all of the time. Seems to me that you can get the same result using bribing no matter what level you are playing on.
Hey I had some Event where some of my guys found a class 35 planet ..but I couldn't find it anywhere! I'm like wtf! I got to thinking maybe I misread it and it w
I played a Gigantic galaxy once. You'd be surprised how long it takes to find all the yellow stars in one of those.
A very long time if you are not playing tight/rare or tight occassional. Ahh, but those are the fun games though.
My thanks as well Newfy.
111 mil. Always.
Is there something that tells the "cost" of technology? I usually stay to a standard line that will give me the the techs I want and alot of stuff to trade with. It would be nice to know how much I am paying for it other than just in months.
I use this strat as well. The AI does not notice this as hostile. From the very begining of the game they are at war with the pirates and space shark. Happy Gamming.
You are rush building. Use what PB said above.
This thread makes me sorry I missed the last couple days. I invite the author of this thread to look at my profile. First, notice that I have only been submitting about 2 1/2 months. Second, notice that I have subnitted any where from 1 to 9 games on a given day. Third, notice approx the 16th of Dec. See those 25 games posted? I know how I did it. My friends in this forum know how I did it too. Lots of others can post multiple maso's on any given day. You blasted Tech, are you blasting
I have to have an evil morality because of the type of conquest I am after.
They are thinking about it for GCII.
USS Iwo-Jima. Yes I have been to Fremantle, Sydney, Perth, and one other. Last time I was there was in the late 90's. That's about all I can say about it because of the nature of service.
Where are you Fuels Chief?
I work in Norfolk. I live in Richmond, about halfway between Norfolk and Washington DC. I have some very strange hours on the ship so I can be on just about anytime. I thought when I registered I had to put my time zone in. So every thing I read shpws up GMT -5 on my screen. Maybe that was the Embassy though. Or the military could have sent me to Australia for a few days....
One of the mods I have must have altered my game, cause I have.
Even at war w/ AI you can get a culture victory. Best to turn of the ones you don't want.
Don't forget this top 3 empire in your list: the Intergalactic Bounty Hunter
Oops, Did not intentionally mean to leave you guys out Peace. A list of the empires that have players still submitting is here http://altmeta.galciv.org. There are a few Empires that have submissions that are not very active in this forum, Europen Alliance, Mid-West Confederation
On other thing to try is, build a fleet and take over their planets even at the loss of other planets. The benifit here is you should get conquered technology like ship technology. This will allow you to build bigger ships.
Not only will you get there tech, you will get well developed planets that already have alot of social improvements. Good Luck.
You're not good enough yet... at least for the Centurions. 100k MV points or 100 games or Veteran.... But you'll get there....
Not all Empires have rules that can keep you from joining. The Foundation, Canadian Star Federation, and the Galactic Guardians are all top notch open Empires who welcome those at all levels of play.
*I like the culture "movie" victory the best... kind'a neat win it plays* Have you seen the beyond human victory movie?
