Redstar IV module

Can't find this subject on a search, so hope I'm not rehashing.

I can download, unzip and install the Redstar IV module, and it appears in the Star Base Defense Menu, but selecting it does nothing - no money changes hands, no new SB module.

Any (useful!) suggestions?

Are your starbase modules continously numeroted with the bookend module corresponding to the highest value?

First, the Redstar IV mod has not been certified to work with GC or AP.

The file is as follows:

//------------------------------------------------------------------------
SBMOD 57 RedStarIV
//------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name "Red StarIV"
Model "Starbase01"
Tech_Requirement "_3DPhasing"
Tech_Requirement "AntimatterWeapons"
Tech_Requirement "DefenseTheory"
Tech_Requirement "Deflectors"
Module_Requirement "TerrorStar"
Description "Red Star is a new defensive shield created to protect our Starbases."
LocalAbility "StarbaseDefense"
LocalAbilityValue 70
ModuleSize 3
ModuleCost 350
Type 4
ENDSBMOD

Secondly, Starbase modules need be numbered consecutively with no gaps (the bookend being the exception). The game has SB modules numbered 0-55. If you don't have a SB module numbered 56, then the above module(#57)won't work properly.

Thirdly, the Module_Requirement, "TerrorStar", might also pose a problem too.

Its best to use Certified mods until you know more about how the game works.

Edit: You can edit the header number quickly by opening with Notepad (or other .txt editor)and setting 'Files of type:' to 'all files'
After editting number to make it consecutive, you then 'save as' a .sbmodule file.

I used this mod for a while. You will have to renumber the modules to get it to work. You can download the GalCiv writer to renumber them or use notepad as described above. I did not have any problems with the mod when I was using it.
