Where are those events?

I play the first "real" game in large galaxy after one or two "tests" in medium galaxy. The year is, I'm not exactly sure, 2192 or 93, and I didn't get any events. Is it because I have only two star systems (with two planets in each) or is it somethig else? (I have a 1.2 version)
My civilization is still neutral and I wanna be good... Or evil, who knows :HOT:
Thanks for the help!

Generally, the events are colonization events. But not all of them :)

So that's it then... By the away, game is really addictive. Can't wait to kick some Drengin ass. And, another question: does the music in foreign policy screen
change when you set Drengin on pure good?

I believe each race has its own unique music. And yes, the Drengin's is much too loud! LOL

You can get some more events in the library to download. They will not change the frequency at which they happen but there are some in there that make morality swings easier. Happy Gamming.

There is a download to lower the volume for the music too. I don't know if it works as I do not have it installed.

There are different events. e.g. colonization events and random events. In some games I don't get any random events. In others half a dozend.

Colonization events appears about every third planet. But never for the first planet you colonize. Thus with two planets (Earth + one) you never will get one.

Personally I would not get any mod events until I have got a feeling for the original events. But when you start to get the same event again and again it's very nice to get the mod events. Many of them are very well done.

My first event was to make a decision about what will I do with native underwater specie. Before game I didn't choose how will I play, but when that event came up, just didn't have a heart to disturbe and to use them... I mean, I hope that we, as a human race, will do the same if we'll go for the stars. :D
At least in the beggining!

Yes indeed I recommend Moser The Alchemist Event Pack and a few others out there. Get them from the library here or the mirror we made at NeoTech. I NEVER play GC without Mods installed.

I played exclusively with Icho Tolot Mods and Mosers Mods, oh I use saint and sinners by Matt Downie I think is his name. :D Icho Mods change the entire game for the better. A lot more fun I feel but maybe it is just my own thing. ;)

Hope to see you at NeoTech http://www.neotechgaming.com/portal.php?sid=2ecd9994d30f785aa7e8d22559148d68 a Starbase for Galciv fans - plus a lot more

Once you understand the base game mods do add alot of variation and more enjoyment to the game.

Thanks for the tips!
By the way, did any of you play the entire game (without event mods, with 2 star systems and 2 planets in each) with no events in which you must choose beetwen good and evil?
And another thing: when I build a freighter on Earth, send it on another my planet, and THEN send it to alien planet, is the origin of that trade route on Earth or in that second planet of mine? (didn't try it yet)

Actually its an anomaly pack. ;) I'd recommend Matthew Downie's and Nidaros' packs plus any other events that are Certified by Stardock.

Yeah I realized my error after I was back uploading files at NeoTech. Of course when I discovered my blunder these great forums not allowing editing ended up insulting you with the wrong statement. I knew perfectly well what Mods you make I use them all the time and I was thinking of the one you mentioned. DOH! Forgive me as a fan of your work dude really. :sniff!:

The orgin is where it starts I think. It will be obvious once you do it yourself. I suggest visiting the Encyclopedia here at Galciv or Javascouts wonderful database of GC info. Both places will answer most all of your questions thus far. Though none of us mind answering questions. ;)

Don't be mad at me, Desert Fox! :)
I'll check all that places. But it's just fun when game fans help each other in this way!

MAD?? NO that is a sniff sniff emoticon over my mistakenly calling Moser Mod pack events and not Anomalies as I know they are. I use his mods in all games I play.

Its all good! NeoTech has come good players and info also. You may want to check in there as well. :D

Nah, I wasn't insulted. :D I just didn't want Alsan looking for a mod that didn't exist. ;)

Thanks for the concern, Moser. I'll continue to play my first game without new event mods, and than I'll see what's out there to make the game more interesting. It's really nice to see that much additional work done by the fans. :)
