You read it right. The 2.8 changelog does carry "Fix for Start button when Enhanced Taskbar is not enabled", so that path was worked on in this release. What you are hitting is a case that survived the fix rather than something nobody looked at. Worth confirming the build first. 2.8 shipped as UI version 2.8 with file version 2.8.0.2. On your last point, the start button image is not independent of the taskbar work on Windows 11. Our own compatibility switch treats them as one

There is no include entry on that menu, but the exclusion list itself is editable from a different screen. Click the settings cog on the switcher and pick "Manage exclusions and grouping". The app you excluded should be listed in there. That screen is worth knowing about generally. When a window goes missing from the switcher with no obvious cause, an accidental entry in that list turns out to be the reason more often than a bug does.

Yes, that is what that toggle is meant to do. "Replace Alt Tab key combination" is the switch that hands Alt+Tab to AltTabby instead of Windows, so with it off you get the stock Windows switcher and no Carousel, in a game or out of one. Leave it on. That also lines up with what you are seeing in game. The switcher you get on the first press is the Windows one, so the replacement is not taking hold while the game has focus. Nothing is set wrong on your end. Your update to 0.81

On a shrouded world, the outward push to your friend's planets is Propagate Mode specifically. Only one shroud mode runs on a planet at a time, so a world set to Exploitation or Summoning is doing its job without projecting at his. Propagate also has tunable radius, speed and strength, so you can keep it running and pull the radius in rather than choosing between spreading corruption and not developing at all. The Planetary Corruption window lists your corrupted planets with the

That screenshot settles the open question from earlier in the thread. It is Start11's own update check, not Object Desktop Manager, so the focus grab lives in the product's own updater and ODM can be dropped from the picture. The prompt you just caught will be today's 2.8 release. Installing it stops the prompting for a while, but it will not change what you reported. The 2.8 changelog is Win11 26H2 taskbar position handling, vertical taskbars on secondary displays, blank Edge icons i

94% is the default for that slider, so it is worth putting it back where you had it. Our own before and after examples for the menu are both taken at 94%, and what changes between them is the Mica toggle rather than the slider position. Mica is the option in that same section, and it is the one that controls the material effect behind the menu. Turning it on is the quickest way to tell whether the blur you are missing sits on the Mica path or somewhere else. The taskbar is a s

You are not missing a checkbox. There is no registry override for result ordering either: the two search behaviour keys we publish control accent matching and whether the most recently run app gets promoted for a given search term, and neither one sorts file results. It has not quietly changed under you, either. The last release that touched Everything at all was 2.7, which made Everything results respect the search filters built into Start11 search. Today's 2.8 is taskbar and perform

Good, and that result is worth keeping, because it tells you where the problem actually sits. The hotspot bypassed your home connection's path to stardock.cachefly.net. Your licence and the file were never involved, and that path is still whatever it was. The next Start11 update will come down from the same host. If you would rather not reach for the hotspot again, try a different DNS resolver on your normal connection while you are not in a hurry to get an installer. A stale record f

You are probably a build or two behind, which matters here: AltTabby went to 0.8 on 09/02 and 0.81 on 09/03. 0.8 added an option worth testing before the Spacebar request gets weighed. From the changelog: "New option to make sticky semi sticky so it only makes the switcher stay open after the hotkey is held for a certain amount of time." Sticky is the setting that decides whether the switcher pins itself open, so semi sticky ties pinning to how long you hold the hotkey rather

You ruled scaling out properly, restarts between changes included, so it is off the table rather than merely untested. Three resolutions and both 1:1 and shrink-to-fit is more than most people do before reporting. The 2024 detail is the most useful thing in your post, and it may not be the setup that changed. Multiplicity 4.0 went out on 8 October 2024. If your clean stretch was before roughly then, you were on 3.x, and the 3.x KVM display path is not the one you are

This is not a licence or account problem, and 2.56 will keep working normally while you sort the download out. The error you quoted is our CDN. Both the download button on the product page and My Downloads hand off to stardock.cachefly.net, and the in-app updater will be pulling from the same host, which fits a download that starts and then never arrives. That host is up and answering normally right now, so this looks like the network path between you and the CacheFly edge cov

Next time it comes up broken, catch it in that state before you restart explorer. Open Task Manager, go to the Details tab, and look for Start11Srv and Start11_64.exe . Then right-click the taskbar and see whether Configure Start11 is on the menu. If either one is missing at that point, the taskbar settings are not the problem, Start11 is simply not up yet. That would also explain why opening Start11 is part of what fi

You are right, it moved and it changed shape. What was one checkbox is now a three way selector in that panel: Low, Standard and High compression. You are sitting on Standard, which is the recommended one, so there was nothing there for you to switch on and nothing you missed. Worth knowing what that rules out. The corruption bug this subsystem has actually had was in low compression mode, fixed back in 4.0.0.4. Low also wants a 2.5GbE link, which that panel says itself. You are not o

Not a comprehension problem. The gear is not in the main Multiplicity settings window, it sits on the configuration screen for one specific KVM connection. On the Primary, open the KVM tab and double-click the Latitude's entry in the connections list, or select it and click Edit. That opens the per-connection config with the passcode, display name and KVM mode display fields on it. The gear on that screen is Advanced KVM settings. Advanced only ever held the one option in what

SkinStudio is not part of the WindowBlinds install, which is why clicking edit on a style sends you off to the product page. There is nothing on your machine for it to open yet. You do not need Object Desktop to get it. It is a separate download either way, and the current one is public: https://cdn.stardock.us/downloads/public/software/skinstudio/SkinStudio_11_setup.exe?a=sd</a

Those vertical streaks in your screenshot are stale regions that never got repainted, trailing down from the windows that changed. That reads as a frame encoding problem rather than something wrong on the Latitude's own display. The lever we have on that is per connection. Open the KVM connection's settings, go to the gear icon and Advanced KVM settings, and flip "Force video encoding mode (quality will be lower for text)". Whichever way it is set now, set it the other way. Those labe

Taskbar color runs through Start11 rather than Windows once the enhanced taskbar is on, which is usually what is behind an accent color not taking. On the Taskbar tab look for "Use automatic color for taskbar". While that is on, Windows personalization picks the color; switch it off and you can set it yourself. That wording is from the v1 layout, so on v2 it may sit a little differently on the tab, but it is the same setting. Both of those depend on "Let Start11 enhance the taskba

AltTabby replaces the Alt+Tab switcher, not the Win+Tab one. Win+Tab is Windows' own task view, so what you are scrolling through there is the OS switcher, which would explain it landing on mail or Firefox instead of the window you picked. Try Alt+Tab and see whether the iClone and Character Creator windows are listed the way you expect. If an app is missing from AltTabby's own switcher, click the settings cog on the switcher and pick Manage exclusions and grouping. An app sitting

Rows and columns are configurable, and that is where I would start on the gap you get with six windows open. Our announcement for the beta lists configurable rows and columns among the customization options, so the layout you are looking at is not the only one on offer. The hover behaviour I cannot give you a setting for. Nothing we have published documents a way to stop a preview being selected when the mouse passes over it, and I would rather say that than point you at a toggle I ca

Check Let Start11 enhance the taskbar on the Taskbar tab first. On Windows 11 that switch is what unlocks the per-display taskbar options, and Start11 settings greyed out for a second monitor are usually it being off. Our documentation is explicit about this for the settings next door: "To further configure the start button and/or taskbar items to left aligned or center aligned on Windows 11, first enable the 'Let Start11 enhance the taskbar' setting from the Taskbar

The split you are describing lines up with the install history more than the hardware. The laptop that sends is the one that only ever had a clean 4.07 on it. The two that will not send are the two that had Multiplicity 3 from Steam taken off by hand. For a genuinely clean removal, use the purge file rather than Add/Remove Programs: https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/Purge_MP-New.zip Right-click it and choose Run as Administrator, and on Windows 11 you have to pick "Show more opt

Thanks Tim. A notification pulling itself to the foreground is not how that should behave, and knocking a fullscreen game down with it is a defect rather than something you would fix in settings. The two version numbers and the 25H2 build are the useful part of what you posted. One thing worth pinning down. There are two separate things that can raise an update prompt for Start11 and Fences: each product's own update check, and Object Desktop Manager if you have that installed. They a

One known cause has AltTabby handing you the standard Windows switcher, and it is cheap to rule out. Open Task Manager, go to the Details view, and check whether more than one AltTabby64.exe is running. Two copies is the signature Neil worked through in the 0.70 beta feedback thread . The workaround there was to open the AltTabby config, switch the mode between list and thumbnail, then switch back, and

Before you go chasing the video driver, there is a cheap test that tells you whether this is a driver problem at all. Next time the animation stops, do not reboot and do not restart AltTabby. Open the AltTabby config, switch the mode (list vs thumbnail), then switch it straight back. If the animation comes back, the state that went wrong is inside AltTabby and the driver is probably not your culprit. That toggle is Neil's, from the 0.70 beta thread. A user there had a differen

Ending the process in Task Manager was never going to do what that button did. DeskScapes 2026 runs with a service behind it, and other users here have reported that force-ending the task just brings it back a moment later. A kill is closer to a restart than a shutdown, which fits what you saw. The tray icon is worth a look before anything else, including the hidden overflow area behind the arrow. DeskScapes 2026 has one, and 26.0.1.1 (7/27/2026) specifically fixed the tray icon not a
