Another goodie for me would be to be able to set up player vs player of a few on the net like what Homeworld does.Could this even be done without rewriting the entire game.
I think stardock has made it clear this will never be done. They have said maybe for Galactic Civilizations 2. But not before then. ~SDC~
The newest version is 1.10A, and you can get it through Stardock Central. If you don't have SDC yet, get it through the downloads link at left (then you can get the patch).
It's actually available on the site on the downloads section. In a different thread Frogboy said that though the link still says 1.05 it is actually 1.1 but the link won't be updated until Monday. ~SDC~
What is the short cut to generate a new starting position on the current map?
There is no way to get a different position on the same map. Control-N is your only short cut option for a new starting position and it gives you a completly new map. ~SDC~
- Giving cash for 0 months is considered less then giving cash for 1 months, the results are the same but the AI likes 1 month better.
Actually I think there is a difference, zero months and you give them the money once, pick one month and it really means the turn your on and the next one. ~SDC~
Hey if you need someone to translate the game from English into Spanish let me know, I am good also at beta-testing.
Frogboy has said before Stardock doesn't do the translations, Strategy First does. ~SDC~
There's a bug in the stats screen that tells me that I'm #1 - ALWAYS! It doesn't matter where I actually rank in anything. It's as if my cabinet is trying to shield me from the awful truth...
It's only telling you your number one out of all the races you have made contact with, if this is at say the beginning of the game and you haven't met anyone then yes they will say you are number one because they have nothing to compare you to. ~SDC~
Once a system goes into "rebellious mode" (skull and xbones on star map), that system will never again go back to standard, happy mode.
This isn't a bug. It's warning, if it happens a second time by the same race the world will rebel. The skull remains as a warning. ~SDC~
Hi, I've just bought this game and I'd like to get the expansion pack for it. Firstly, will I need to download the latest patch? Also, will I need to download Stardock Central (and are there any nasty surprises involved. I've heard they can use it to gain access to your harddrive and stuff).
As for it acessing your hard drive you really shouldn't listen to every rumor you hear. And yes for now you need to get Stardock Central to get it, though I'm pretty eventually they w
1. From a previously saved game, the resources from all starbases have disappeared.2. Also on a previously saved game, the governer wants to build nothing but Manufacturing Capitals, even though I already had one...
Well thats the problem, you aren't supposed to use saves from old versions. They work for some people but often won't. ~SDC~
If you purchase influence, does your purchased influence apply in sectors that have planets of the AI civ you purchased them from, or does it affect your overall influence? How does it work exactly?
I'm not sure about this so don't take it as a fact but I believe the Influence you purchase or sell only effects the United Planets. ~SDC~
I *thought* something was going to be done about that in the expansion, either in the form of a per-planet or per-governor economic slider. I sure can't find that, or anything like it. Am I missing something?
I could be wrong but I never heard anyone from Stardock say either of these were going to be done. I've seen players suggest it, but no sign it was going to be put in, again I may just have missed it. ~SDC~
