hi left click the ship. it's higlited then in the mini map up at the top right you should be able to see a blue grid. this represents the range of the ship from its home world you can place the mouse any where in the range bix and then right click. it should retreat. hope this helps rich ~SDC~

if you have aproblem again, go to tools>settings>connections>and refresh the server list and connect to US california which is dedicated t galciv. the other main server also has Wincustomize which had a huge following rich ~SDC~

there is a random event concerning a minor race and the tech of a major. I won't spoil the surprise but you might like it. The minors are yours to exploit as you choose. In a game you don't care about, try getting tributes for x months and then invade and take the planet and see what happens. one of loui's the cat's galciv lesson available whever kitty litter is in use yours in TUNA the cat ~SDC~

I'm not sure but i believe that without sdc you can't get the bonus pack or incremental update. But you don't need to install windowblinds our anything else you might not want (i run an extremely slim desktopx "-) ) hope this helps rich ~SDC~

hi Ardrikk! you nailed it on the head. The total spending is how much you want to spend of your income per month. and the military, social, and research sliders are the division of the total spending minus Maintenance, leases espionage, Destabalization: GIA (galactic taxes) and tribute. There also might be ceratin mikitary expenses included (usually a small percentage of the total military costs) If you take your total spending down, you will see the "hard" costs you are stuck with.
