Bonus pack comes installed?

Installed Galciv and already seem to have the bonuspack included (can change the settings line courage etc).

When I install the bonus pack seperately from SDC it finishes in 2 secs, starting game does not really show any difference.

Any idea?

it's adding some new options that were not there before, like the anti-matter missiles, and the excalibur class of ship.

No...what he means is that when you download GalCiv from SDC, it downloads the BonusPak aswell. There is an option in SDC to download the BonusPak, but when you press install, SDC downloads nothing. After a split second it displays a dialogue stating that the BonusPak is installed.

I had this too.

I'm not downloading the game but... I imagine that their installer is smart enough to just give you the latest files of everything and not to download a v1.0 exe then download a v1.1 exe. It probably skips the older version entirely. Of course, I'm just spouting off and don't really know... :notsure:

Part of the BonusPak is in GalCiv 1.01 and the module called Bonuspak contains the extra data.

How come there is nothing being downloaded from the server when the bonupack is selected, is it just settings that need to be changed?

In fact, I was tempted to put in some file in there just to make it look bigger. But text files compress very well.

what i wonder than is the following message in the corresponding log file:

....schnippp.....

Installation aborted (no updated files found)

.... schnapppp .....

i do not remember to have hit install two times. So what files should be in my galciv directory IF i downloaded the Bonus Pack ??? (I can check than...)

ok, fair enough ;)

Noticed SDC got updated again so i did try to deinstall bonuspack but got some sort of error saying it failed deinstall but offered to mark it as uninstalled.

Did that and reinstalled and this time it actually downloaded something.
