I personally think it was a great Beta process. The whole pre-order only access, however bad and negative it my seem on paper, the fact is it has produced some very good feedback and there was very little stupid suggestions/post like there is in a lot of other betas. I think the Devs communicated with us on a regular basis which was great, and patched/updated Demigod very frequently (despite naming dates for Beta 3 and missing them three times+) which is exactl

The 3minute rule is both a blessing and a curse. If the other player has a low-end system then the other player can quite before the 3 minute mark and avoid the lag-fest. However as mentioned above, it allows player to "dodge". Dodging is a common problem though, and without the 3 minute rule they would just disconect anyway so...I guess just take SS of dodgers and dont play them :)
Unless you (you-not SD-SD didn't tell me I should buy this game, you did) are going to give me my money back if I'm unsatisfied, I'll just wait for the demo, thanks.
Obviously money is a problem with you (since you are asking for the $40 back from the game if you are unsastified by it), so yea, do what I reccomeneded - wait for the demo, thanks.
Having NPCs in my party doesn't count as having a character class.
They are not NPC's, they are party members. Before you recruit them they are NPC's, but they become party members once you recruit them. Regardless, the point is you have 100% control over them. I see you were getting your info from the main site. It is a VERY bad source for detailed info and lot is wrong/outdated now. Why its like that, I have no clue.
I notice that in
Oops...long post..:) P.S - I havent even mentioned how great the PvP is.
Didn't try it. Read their spiel on it and decided it's worthless: -No rogue/assassin. (Perfect World had no rogue/assassin and I couldn't play that, either.) -No mage. (This is in contrast to most MMOs where the mage is exponentially the single most powerful class, so that's not necessarily a bad thing, but still, it's a standard item that's sorely missing.) -Three "archer/hunter" classes. -Three "swordsman" classes (although o
Not sure if anyone has tried this one before, but its a f2p mmorpg. The strange thing is, I actually enjoy it! (which is strange for a mmorpg). The only other MMORPG which ive actually enjoyed playing is Guild Wars, and I was not expecting a f2p one to be the next one I enjoy. I have been playing it for roughly 2 weeks now, and this is what I can say so far: Little Grind (compared to other MMORPG's this game has basically no grind, if you just follow the quests your level will be good).
Unless money is a problem for this game, waiting for the demo is fine. However if you have a decent amount of cash to spend on a $40 game, get this one :P
For me Oak is actually very good Early game, but once it reaches mid-late game he starts to feel underpowered. He does have some really good abilties, I just think he feels a bit "fragile" for a melee Demigod like himself.
Oh nice. Didnt know there was anything like that Horse :)
Good question Zerofaith. Would be interesting to know how much Demigod has already sold?
To me, Rook, UB, and TB are the toughest. Rook has massive damage through Hammer and Towers, and stun is extremely useful. UB is very fast, so is hard to get away from. It's also quite easy to load up health and armor while keeping dps on him, plus he has life drain stun and ranged dot. TB has relatively easy to pull off shatter combo. Staff of Renewal is crazy for Rook and TB. W
Yes, make sure you register and pay with the same email adresses. A few people had problems logging in to Demigod because of this. If you have already pre-ordered and have a different email that you paid with and registered with, you have to contact Stardock support to ask them to merge your email. You should do this now to avoid dissapoint on day of release...just my opinon :P
I pre-ordered the game but am now worrying slightly over these issues.
There are no "
And all credit to Sorian for his great idea :)
Did someone ask for another lan mod
You catch on fast Sorian :P And yes this whole Demigod-DotA fighting is stupid. If anything both communities should be supporting each other as much as possible - being the only two games in the "RTS/RPG" (or w/e u wanna call it) genre.
IGN/Gamespot will definately do reviews for Demigod - its just a matter of what score it will get.
An "open beta" will generate hype....
I didnt buy RA3 because of the open beta.
Just out of curiousity, what tournaments do you guys (Stardock/GPG) have planned for Demigod in the near future. Will their be money tournies? (if so, roughly how much are we talking :P), Organised weekly/monthly tournaments? (I think there was something like this in Supcom, correct me if im wrong). Are there going to be prizes for people who finish top in ladder rankings etc? I just think these are very important for the online community, and especially the competitive scene. I kn
True that Demigod is high up in gamestats, im just not sure how much that means and how they calculate which game is "most talked about". I mean ive never looked at gamestats before it was advertised here...Lets be honest, Demigod is above Starcraft 2, which is obviously talked about 10000x more than Demigod (because of Starcraft1). Anyway it is a good question Frogboy, where do people "get hyped". The thing that really got me hyped about Demigod was that epic trailer that was rele
Ive had no sync problems recently in Demigod. Maybe on or two, but no more than I get in other games too.
How do you know if they give u 15khp...have u ever had an empty bar fill to 15k hp lol?
More Hype = More Money though :) DotA is different....it was a mod, not a game. It didnt matter how popular it was at the start (was not popular at all, it took aaages to become popular from what I heard,,maybe a year+ ?), however Demigod needs a good initial sale, and games are always most popular in their early stages. And yea, I agree, too much hype = fail and can end up hurting the game...but I think Demigod has TOO little hype. Just think not enough people are aware of it. 90
Is it just me or do you think Demigod might be lacking a bit of hype? I mean this game has nearly everything to make it very successful, but since it has no prequels (and so no big fanbase) I think a bit of hype might be needed. Maybe its just me but I think another epic trailer (like the first one which was released a while back) is needed :) If no one knows about the game then it wont be able to be a huge hit...Again, maybe its just me...
Havent had a match of DG for too long..Citadel looks 10x bigger than i remember :P hehe
Maybe its because the enemy that you killed has different amount of HP each time? For example you kill a Rook who has 5k hp, you will get 1k hp back, but when you kill a Regulus who has 1.8k hp, you will get like only 360hp :)
Is it just me or is that NOT a citadel?
