Demigod Tournaments

Just out of curiousity, what tournaments do you guys (Stardock/GPG) have planned for Demigod in the near future. Will their be money tournies? (if so, roughly how much are we talking :P), Organised weekly/monthly tournaments? (I think there was something like this in Supcom, correct me if im wrong). Are there going to be prizes for people who finish top in ladder rankings etc?

I just think these are very important for the online community, and especially the competitive scene. I know some sites will be doing some tournies already (Demigod-live, Gamereplays) but just wondering if you guys have any plans up your sleeves?

Would be really cool if they eventually built periodic tournaments into the online client like it is with Warcraft 3 on Battle.net.

All this of course depends on how well Demigod does...

But one of the types of tournaments we want to do is clan-based tournaments.

Right now, you have "forces of light" and "forces of darkness".  Think of that as us just creating two hard-coded clans to see how well the concept functions.

Now, fast forward a few months and instead players see a series of tournaments they can partake of with one of them being clan-based. You join a clan and those clans battle for favor points against other clans.

Nice idea Frogboy, sounds like that could be awesome...reminds me of some MMORPG "wars" that occur.

What about the "original" tournaments if you know what I mean. I mean, short-term ones like Single knockout, double knockout, round robin etc. But yea I guess it depends on how well it does...hopefully it will do great :D
