so the issue is the screen updating very very slowly on that machine vs a slow input issue? First thing to check is what is the network bandwidth available between those two machines?
Yes, I am on 2.6 and unfortunately still experience all of these issues, a long with this new one that seems to be difficult to repro . Thanks for a least taking the time to comment and formally record the simple arrow issue.
Difficult to repro bugs are the worst as it becomes a game of guessing why something might happen :( With regards

I am going to ask what sounds like a dumb question now. Is Start11 actually running? Easy way to tell, right click on the menu, does the menu have configure Start11 on it. I suspect whats going on here is Start11 is not starting on your PC, perhaps due to some AV app getting confused or optimizing tool disabling the service to 'speed up your PC' The other option is Start11 is set to not provide the menu, you can check this from the Start11 settings wi
I am using Start11 (new user) and have run into a problem. When I run a PowerShell window, cmd.exe, and WSL window (some with multiple instances) they are all getting bunched into the one icon on the taskbar. I like having all items of the *same* kind on one icon, but in the screenshot below I'm running three different kinds of windows and so there should be three 'populated' icons on the task bar ... yet they are al

Start11 runs most things inside explorer and this will be where activation checks and update checks take place. The only other processes running for Start11 run at much higher user rights which would be poor choices for this. Almost all the Stardock apps work like this and always have done. As for the URL itself, I am unsure why it would be trying to go there unless thats a check for internet query as it should be hitting SD servers only. I will ask someone who will
Just for Information: The last Windows Update from yesterday messed everything in my Multimonitor setup with Start 11, I was not getting any icons on the Start11 taskbar, everything was getting slow and frozen, no matter how many times I restarted Explorer, the Start 11 service and the app. In the end I had to uninstall, reboot and install Start 11 to get back in order. Having lost 2 hours of work, from now on I will be always re-install Sta
Okay, but can you give a more detailed explaination, please? Also, what is the issue that Groupy 1 had? I am a fairly experienced software developer (20+ years) with a fair bit of experience in QA and have dabbled with the Windows API.
Sure. The same list for alt tab is also used by the taskbar and the virtual desktops but of course in slightly different ways. You end up with windows pinned to all deskto

This has not changed as it isn't a bug. This is a limitation on how Windows works. Groupy 1 worked differently but this caused another issue. Basically you can have one issue or another, but the Groupy 1 issue would also cause problems with other Groupy 2 features (combined taskbar buttons) so it has to work as it does. The only solution would be to replace alt-tab entirely.
I love the revival of the vertical task bar, but also observe some glitches. The most annyoing one: for some applications, when I hover over the icon in the task bar, the ribbon with thumbnails of the windows of this application don't appear. Even worse, sometimes the thumbnails of another application (adjacent to the one I am hovering over) are shown!! This video demonstrates the problem: <a href="https://na

Does the groupy config window always look black or only when things start to act oddly? That looks like some sort of resource leak.

Those are Windows dialogs so I would suggest an OS change. Microsoft had been looking into improving dark mode as some dialogs did not support them (OS ones). It may be they have rolled this back or for compatibility only enable it on supporting apps. I am also assuming you are not using a tool that 'improves' dark mode as it may be that has changed. What version of Windows are you using exactly?
Neither option works. ‘basj’ already figured this out on November 04 2025. I don't understand why this still hasn't been fixed in the current version? Best regards, Lutz
Do you have the option enabled in Start11 (configure menu button on bottom of config window, scroll down to advanced) called website links. I just checked here and images were obtained for
