Quoting Neil Banfield, reply 82 Are you using anything else which might alter the OS as this is not normal. No, I don't use any other tool. In the meanwhile I found that this problem is occurring not only with the vertical task bar, but
Been experiencing this problem for months, tried all the suggestions everywhere I could find including here, and finally found a fix for mine. I somehow found a suggestion to try running LatencyMon for audio related issues and after checking the results with an LLM (actually being useful!), it managed to provide a few possible scenarios. Turns out the problem was actually a failing HDD that seems to be interrupting the CPU a
Should I expect a reply?
Sorry there was a slight delay looking into things further. We have tried the Windows store version of Slack but again the right icon shows. It is interesting to hear the Windows notification centre also shows the wrong icon though as that points to an error in the app potentially rather than Start11 as thats not something we provide. If you right click on the pin, does t
When I click on Start10tweak this comes up? I tried disabling program compatibility, but same message appears when clicking on Start10tweak.
Thats because someone at Microsoft decided to block older versions of Start11/10 on ARM machines (before it had support) and for reasons best known to them they blocked that exe too. Your best bet here is to open services and set the Stardock Start11 service to disable
Hi, I'm having a similar problem but it's opening another pinned app when there are 2 windows opened for the same app. Recommending to install a Beta version is not what I expect from you. When is 2.7 gonna be out of beta? Thanks
I would suspect in the next few weeks. Installing the beta version is the quickest route to a solution which is why it was suggested as your particular issue is a

I would recommend installing v 2.7 beta as there were changes to combined taskbar buttons. However I can promise that Start11 should mirror what the OS does. It is worth noting there may have been a change in this behaviour from the OS in recent updates from Microsoft.

I would also consider uninstalling, REBOOTING and then reinstalling as this may also address your issue (though v2 also has lots of new things which you may like) Sometimes Windows upgrades glitch and stop things starting up correctly which might be what has happened here.
Sir, I used to think and still think that Stardock produce good software. However, when I pay extra for a so called Lifetime license, I get told by less than friendly support staff that my license doesn't extend from Start11 .1 xxx to Start11 2.xxx I thus now use better software that cost me nothing. No doubt the support staff will be able to assist with your troubleshooting

Have you installed anything which might modify the OS like a WindHawk mod? That message can only show in one specific case and thats when the OS tells Groupy that windows is not in that mode which is queried via the OS standard API for checking that. If it returns no there will be something outside of Groupy causing this. The most likely alternative explanation is Group Policy on your computer is overriding the entry you are adding. The DWM may be providing the dra
