Hi, New user of Start11 and it is a nice piece of software! But I have two quick questions about it: Tile placement feels chaotic/buggy When I try to arrange tiles in the Windows 10 style Start menu, their placement is very inconsistent. Tiles frequently jump to unexpected positions or groups instead of staying where I drop them, which makes it very hard to organi

This should be addressed in the next update.
The next update for Start11 should have a registry key you can add for this. The release notes should mention what you will need to add to hide the shadow.
This should be addressed in the next update. Thanks for letting us know.
Disable the rounded corners option. This option isn't fully compatible with vertical taskbars and may be stopping you resizing.

Sorry to hear this :(
It's pretty awful speed for me from the UK. I've connected via a vpn, from the US, and its... less awful, but still pretty shoddy for such a huge company. I honestly wouldn't feel that way if it was a one off, but from this and other threads, it's clearly not.
Which file are you downloading? The performance issue with the main downloads was addressed quite a while ago now.
He has resolved nothing. As for his question about whether Start11 was running, of course it is running. The Start11 special icon is shown.
Have you perhaps set the Start11 menu to open in all apps by mistake? This is a setting you can set in Start11 settings by opening it, clicking configure and scrolling down to the advanced section. If not then please provide a screenshot of what you are seeing as this c
This is on a list for investigation next week. It may be due to the AIDA64 window running with higher privileges than normal windows.
Have you tried deleting the extra group via right click menu?
Yes that all works. It is limited to DX9Ex though you can interop DX11 and just blt the final results to DX9EX if you want from say DX11. We have some new stuff in this area coming soon so you might want to wait for that as I think it might be of interest to you.
Is your windows taskbar without Start1 set to combine items or to not combine them?
Can't you just do something like this: Code: c++ LONG_PTR style = GetWindowLongPtr(hWnd, GWL_EXSTYLE); style |= WS_EX_TOOLWINDOW; SetWindowLongPtr(hWnd, GWL_EXSTYLE, style); Treat the hidden windows as floating toolbars to hide it
4.3 Mbps is not that big. KVM mode is designed for extreme low latency over your local network at the cost of bandwidth usage. That said we do have something coming soon which may be more suited to your needs.
so the issue is the screen updating very very slowly on that machine vs a slow input issue? First thing to check is what is the network bandwidth available between those two machines?
Do you have the latest beta of Deskscapes installed as it had some tweaks to blocking the desktop in certain situations.
The compatibility feature is needed because otherwise things either crash or simply do not work. Two apps touching the same thing rarely works out well.
Yes, I am on 2.6 and unfortunately still experience all of these issues, a long with this new one that seems to be difficult to repro . Thanks for a least taking the time to comment and formally record the simple arrow issue.
Difficult to repro bugs are the worst as it becomes a game of guessing why something might happen :( With regards
Just to clarify, this issue only started a few days ago? Have you changed anything around that time? Also is this on all three screens or just one?
I am going to ask what sounds like a dumb question now. Is Start11 actually running? Easy way to tell, right click on the menu, does the menu have configure Start11 on it. I suspect whats going on here is Start11 is not starting on your PC, perhaps due to some AV app getting confused or optimizing tool disabling the service to 'speed up your PC' The other option is Start11 is set to not provide the menu, you can check this from the Start11 settings wi
"Only Start11 (and the Windows Start menu when Start11 is disabled) fails to display these icons." So this problem happens WITHOUT Start11 too?
I am using Start11 (new user) and have run into a problem. When I run a PowerShell window, cmd.exe, and WSL window (some with multiple instances) they are all getting bunched into the one icon on the taskbar. I like having all items of the *same* kind on one icon, but in the screenshot below I'm running three different kinds of windows and so there should be three 'populated' icons on the task bar ... yet they are al
Do you have enhanced taskbar turned on or off in Start11? And is your taskbar set to auto hide?
