For what it's worth, it was not AB alone but AB combined with Nanotech. And half the effect was all I needed to get out of D rating and re-goon the OW. Unfortunately for me, your freeze came 1/2 a second before I was able to do that. In hands of a faster player (which really is not an achievement) that AB should've had bigger impact while Nanotech should've not been in play at all. I am glad that both exploits are going to be nerfed in beta 7. On the other hand, that

Not having spies is not that uncommon, holograms or not. And being the only scav on the map pretty much gives you a monopoly, not that you really need it. What bugs me about hacker arrays is that you don't have to invest in production of the resources. You can hack whatever you want whenever you want it and make money out of thin air. Sure you can have 3 hacker arrays, to tech the helluva everything and have natural supply of the shorted resource. Or you can just buy into your shortage wi

Oh, I am the last person to claim they are easy, Cubit. I wouldn't even say they are OP, just as I didn't say OW are OP in 1v1. But the late game did become a battle of hacker arrays. Nothing else really matters. You can have patents, claims - you name it, but a couple of good hacks will put end to that. Just as in 1v1 the game is about who gets first to the offworld and nobody cares about "stronger economy". In 1v1 it's semi understandable, it's a race. In FFA, in my opinion,
Majority without destroy has a much larger impact on a game when alone than with destroy, bercause with destroy buyout people just don't bother defending other players. When a buy is so powerful everyone focusses on stock much more. A guy starts to go for a buy? the person being bought suddenly has defence. Dynamic alliances form on the fly as the stocks become rainbow coloured, because when 2 guys own part of your stock, you want to

I just took your word for it, because I haven't heard Soren talking about that myself. I don't remember many (if any) majority buyouts happening during Zultar's streams. Could be my not so perfect memory. But my feeling is that majority without destroy has little to no impact. If someone manages to get MBO, it's even more steamrolly than usual. If nobody does, it doesn't exist. Destroy without majority though potentially could be very different. In order to make th

Without DBO+MBO players have a very clear vision of who the threats are and what is the correct order of targeting opponents, With these two mods the clearness is gone and the chaos piles up. That's my main conclusion from this tournament. But even without them OTC is often the game of chicken and almost 100% time if there are 3 players left in equally strong positions. I am not a fan of DBO, but I do think that more experimenting is needed with only DBO enabled and MBO disabled and the o

Yes, I know many of you are laughing right now and I am laughing with you (just because I am too old to cry over something like this)... But let's put my personal frustration aside for a second. Wouldn't it be nice to have a small confirmation window popping up when you're trying to scrap your offworld markets? Offworld is the most expensive (and the most important in 1v1) building in the game. Deleting it when you have Nanotech is a valid and strong strategy, but the price of an

I've been asking for this since I started to play OTC. While establishing an online database one day would be awesome, at the moment I'd be glad to be able to store multiple replays locally. This should be fairly easy to implement and will make a lot of us happy. :)

Guys, something came up and I have to babysit at the time of today's matches. Might still be ok, but you know how it is... expect the unexpected... I'd rather swap with someone from ‎Wednesday/‎Thursday sessions if that's possible. Also, Leyla, since you stepped out to let RedSparowe play, you can play today if you want.

Here's functionality feedback: the game crashes to desktop when run on integrated Intel card (works on Nvidia card) the moment I try to load the map. Which means I won't be able to play at all, unless the issue is addressed. :(

Not on Monday. It's like 4am for me. I might be awake, but not very functional. Any other day should be 90% ok, although I won't know for 100% until the very last moment. If someone can switch to Monday I'll try my very best to sub.
Also from an opponent's point of view, someone who buys someone else out is seen as the winner before the game ends. They have more money and resources, they're harder to trip up because they often have redundancies and multiple profit centers. It feels insurmountable for those playing against someone who buys someone out.
Well, as of now, surmounting is not advisable, since it's gonna get you killed. [e dig

I'll start by saying I do dislike both Destroy Buyout and Majority Buyout (MB works fine in 1v1, but does not fit FFA, imo). Sorry, Scott and all. But I am not sure if I agree with what people believe to be the main problem - i.e. destroy buyouts are not rewarding enough. I have complained about steamrolling in the past and I don't feel like complaining there's not enough of it now. The synergy of two modes is what really ticks me off. I'll have to test them separately

Is the Majority Buyout gone for good? It's not in the new beta 7. Which is a minor issue (or not an issue at all, if you ask me!), since the game doesn't even start. It crashes every time with supposedly ntdll.dll being the faulty module. Beta 6 works fine and so did beta 7 prior to today's update. Here 's the logs folder, but I have a feeling it's going to be utterly useless. Please let me know what additional i

Put me on the waiting list once again, please. I'll fill in if necessary, but my schedule is too unpredictable and crazy to make me a reliable partner. Also I was really hoping the next tournament would be for 32 players. I understand why it's easier to make it work with 16, but there was a lot of demand for the last one and many people who wanted to take part didn't have a chance. [e digicons]:([/e]
Btw, the scanning thing is actually a new gameplay thing. Basically, in single-player only, the game is in turn-based mode while in scanning. The game only moves forward everytime you scan, so you can go as quickly or as slowly as you like.
Oh, this is cool! Any plans on implementing something like that in MP as well? Believe it or not, I heard people saying they loved scanning and hated reveal map. [e digico

After a quick glance I noticed several game breaking issues: 1. Still no buyout percentage. 2. In reveal map mode the debt is frozen, there's no countdown. Your only option is to found with 150k debt. :P 3. In scanning mode there's no scan limits. The number of scans available is stuck on 0 but you can scan as much as you want without any cooldown. 4. No stop/resume auto-selling of power. 5. Hotkeys for turning buildings on/
