OK, so i'm a 3D moddeler myself, but i use primarily Newtek Lightwave 3D, i've worked with it for over 5 years now. SO, as you can imagine, all my models are in lightwave format, and i'm not that well versed in MAX. i've tinkered with it now and then tho. So what would it take for me to get a lightwave model into max, and then into the game? .lwo > .3ds > .max > .x ???? that seems kinda ripe for errors to me <img src="smiles/Crying

This one is really for the Stardock guys, or anyone really familiar with the game. Is there any way to change the difficulty of a game after it's started? I got a kick-A$$ start on a game, be4 i realized the AI's were only set to normal . I want to up their difficulty. So, is that info saved in the savegame file? Can i hex edit it and replace the difficulty with a higher one? if so, how? any o

about BSoD's, it may be true that it's a computer problem, BUT the issue is, something in the game is causing the computer problem. Cause nothing, and i mean nothing else BSoD's or crashes my computer. Only happens when i play the game. I'm not complaining, love the game, and i'll continue to play it ad nauseum, but i'm just saying.

Well if anyone knows me, they know i've been having the same problems. And i've been thru all the hoops with all the files the devs and everyone else asked for. The result?? there hasn't been one. No one's seemed to firgure out why my computer crashes to restart every couple of hours. my BSoD usually says something like IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. No file is ever identified as the culprit. so....?

god i know i'm gonna get flak for this, but i'm going to reference moo3 for a sec (yes i know, different game, sucky game, all that, but put that aside for a sec). I like the idea of planetary bombardment, ALOT. Having that option attached to military ships, and not transports that is. Scaling the amount of damage done with the sophistication and number of weapons involved in the attack (plus any modifiers like mass drivers). Thus in t

could be your audio driver. thats what it appears to have been for me. Disable auto reboot so u can read the BSoD and see if it lists an audio driver as the culprit.

well that might be true, if the random rebooting was ocurring, purely at random.. But it wasn't, was it? it was only happening while playing GC2... random rebooting is certainly not always caused by a PSU, in fact, it's not even the #1 cause. There are a great many things that can cause random reboots. In fact the most common causes aren't hardware related at all, but software or OS related. And as far as PSUs fai

no it's not the invasion bug. I was one of the first to report that one to SD... this is different... NO WAR. NO INVASION. IT HAPPENED THE VERY EXACT MOMENT I UPGRADED MY STARBASE. AS IN NO TURN INBETWEEN. RIGHT THEN. THAT SECOND. DO YOU WANT TO UPGRADE? YES. BOOM!!! half my territory enveloped by the other guy's influence. get the idea? it happened when
