Um... I haven't played a single game post patch, nor properly watched em - mostly lurking here and there while missing all the important parts. So this is more of a question than anything else. Is there any reason to build farms at lvl 2-3? Sounds like reactors will have the edge every time.
Well it depends a lot on the other players and how they play, along with your own strategy. If they're robotic, maki

...why would you sell out of stock to help take out someone else? Player 1 just lost half his moeny on taht buy, which then someone else spent. Overall the price of the stock hasn't changed, it's just been shared between 2 people. That does not make it any easier or harder for you to get bought out, because players 2 could just have easily have saved up to buy the next stock. Being ganged up on would go just as fast or just as slow whether they sold out of you or not, because for the

They doubled fuel costs, which for robo means double power consumption from freighters. It adds up VERY quickly since power is usually more expensive than fuel early on.
I am a completly new player. i have the game 3 days now. I was looking here on the forums to see what the catch on debt is (and some other things). Now that i find out there really isn't a catch besides not being able to make purchases on the black market this is a huge dissapointment to me! Despite of what is a reality or not for the sake of this games balance large sums of debt must be punished h

Oh yeah yeah guilt trip me into fnishing the series :P In all seriousness, I'm currently waiting for the new stock system to be done before starting the scavenger & hacker array video. Before that though I'll be doing something going over the changes of how the new mode works, since it looks like we're going to need someone to explain that.

And we have that 'outstanding debt' level, it's at the D bond rating. Instead of preventing expansion however it prevents black market purchases. You may not think that's a big deal, but once you ping off the goon squads the D debt player has, they are just wide open and can't retaliate.I do remember back before bond ratings was a thing we had a big discussion on debt, and the ideas of preventing stock purchases and stuff came up. Mohawk felt that was perhaps too extreme,

I don't get why people feel the need for debt interest to be paid off with funds. The way your business, and indeed a lot of businesses in real life, pay for the itnerest is by stacking more ddebt. This means your borrowing money, to pay off the interest for money you borrowed. It owrks in real-life, it works in this game. If your more interested in gameplay aspects thoguh then I would argue all being forced to pay off interest does is add an unfun mechanic to the g

You are a start-up company new to mars sent by the government which are attempting to create long-lasting colonies through private enterprise fulfilling market forces. Your goal is to subvert the governments goal and eliminate all other players. So, who's providing the debt? There is no private enterprise already established, so you cannot take out a loan from them. Look at the clock, each tick is 10 minutes of ingame time. It takes 12.5 minutes on average for a communication to get from

How is score calculated? I have 1 win which was agaisnt wino, which has left me with a score of 1. Meanwhile most people at the top have a higher score than the number of wins.

Unfortunatly after the defeat saberman has gone AWOL. However cubit is not currently online, thus I shall declare our team functional so that I can win by default if he doesn't show up within the next hour! In all seriousness if cubit wants to play today I can in a few hours if I can find a substitute. I don't even need practise with a new guy to beat him!

We will be playing on thursday, the games beginning somewhere between 10GMT and 10:30GMT. I appologise for not having an exact time out there, but I cannot guarantee I'll turn up at 10, but I will definitely be there before 10:30 unless internet dies or something.
Gameslayer, are we still on for Thursday evening? Morgan mentioned you might prefer Wednesday. I can't play Wednesday. In truth, this is shaping up to be one hell of a week. So, if you have some sort of celebration Thrusday, how about Friday instead? I can play at our agree time Thursday, but would prefer any time Friday/Sat/Sun after 5:00 GMT.
It'll have to be the thursday then, saber cannot do friday or th
