Freezes, Game Join Times Since the last iteration of code the freezes have returned. Seems similar to the ones from the second last beta, occurring when new assets are loaded. Also, join times for Pantheon games have shot through the roof. At least thus far. Custom games versus A.I. seem unaffected.

Maybe further difficulty levels and additional A.I. routines could be added later? Patterns of behaviour are good as long as you vary them up. Keep A.I. fresh rather than hard-as-nails, necessarily.

Disappearing Sound After Pause Attempt For the heck of it I tried Pausing a Pantheon game against A.I. players. The sound of the immediate combat faded out as it should while I was in the menu, where my pressing of the Pause key was to no avail (I hadn`t enabled Pause, or Pausing is impossible to do during Online Pantheon play). Satisfied, I escaped from the menu, both by hitting ESC and by Cancelling the menu, but my primary sound sour

When I download the new betas of Demigod, Impulse ignores my selected install directory (except to erase it) and installs the new version to the default C: drive Program Files path. This is annoying and potentially problematic to those with specific hard drive accommodations. It ought to verify the current location and install appropriately.
Just hit TAB and anyone with a ping of 0 is AI. Out of all the Pantheon games I've run I've only had a human in my game one time. At release we'll see at least two humans in any Pantheon game.
Thanks for the tip - will do that.

*If* my Pantheon experience has indeed been simply against A.I. as someone suggested previously, then I am a prisoner of that perspective for the moment. If that is the case, so be it - I reiterate my full appreciation for everything Demigod at this point; Idol Minions seem useful and most importantly consequential to me. And thus far playing with them is an additional element of depth to the game I would be saddened to see go. They`re cool! Lowering Idol Minion hits is a non-starter:

Greetings, I hope most earnestly that Stardock does not gimp, cripple, restrict, focus narrowly, or otherwise gut future betas. It would be a shame and a tangible detriment to the process if a few testers who did not understand they were pre-ordered testers were allowed to sully the superb beta experience for the rest of us. One of the core aspects of the dual pleasure/chore of this beta testing has been sampling a substantial portion of game code before release... doing away with thi

Someone said that right now the Pnathoen players - or the bulk of Pantheon players - are A.I.s. If this is true, let me applaud the developers for providing such a welcomely entertaining set of foes. I love the difficulty. I love the fact no discernible pattern was present. This is just damn fun. Bodes extremely well for the full game single player in every respect (skirmishes, tournaments, Pantheons, campaigns). Sorry to gush (I suppose)... this thing is just great fun.

I disagree. I`ve won the last 4 games I`ve played in the Pantheon, and much of my strategy involves getting my special Minions out the door asap. Its worked - you just have to play a little more conservatively with a General, let your henchmen do the work.
Quoting WarlokLord, reply 10 Cumulative necessity... I wouldn`t want a *single* drop-in player to be capable of downgrading my entire group`s game experience... How is that implied by what either I, Hack78 or lbgsloan have said? We are talking about the host to starts the match. Sins doesn't support drop-in players anyway. If it did, presumably they would just be subject to the host's rules anyway.<br /

Heh, maybe I was a little tired when I wrote that. No... I was really tired when I wrote that. Let me try again. I`m thinking about a Pantheon mode of Light versus Dark where you are randomly assigned to either side per match - you do not choose one side or the other, you simply fight for whichever side you find yourself on in that match. An overall tally determining victory is not the factional Light and Dark tally... it is your own Demigod`s individual tally of Favour or Achievement

Tournament Free-For-All Players play ala Pantheon play. Team affiliation is randomly determined per match however, the players fighting for Light or Darkness per, and victory tracked by tracking individual Demigod favour, not team points. So a Demigod might be helping the team, but the bottom line sees him/her/it really only pushing for maximum achievement points for him/her/it self. (Perhaps this is already sort of intr

I enjoy the online Pantheon and shall continue to play it, but I must request that an option to start a private Pantheon challenge would be grand. I would very much like to invite Friends to a Demigod game, log their participation in a private Pantheon, and then play said Pantheon series with said group. This would be a nice addition for those who want a tighter group play experience sometimes, and I know a number of people who would. Stats. could be tracked locally on the hos

Leaving an enemy planet behind in order to advance deeper into their territory isn`t a strategy?!? I disagree. Tell this to the Americans who participated in their great Iraq Adventure Part II®. Siege Frigates are cleaners, sure. Using them immediately against an enemy system or using them post-battle to purge a world, either way they are having a strategic effect. Treating them as such and balancing them in that context is therefore reasonable I would think.

I noticed that my post [UTTER SHIT] pertaining to fighting multiple Regulus characters has been pulled. Very well - I thought it was quite a hilarious title when I compare it to my other rigidly categorized posts. Anyway, I hope that the body of the opinion was not lost on folks. Its an important issue, thus Utter Shit...
A suggested change for Queen of Thorns (which I've been playing primarily recently), I would like the later levels of Bramble shield to get some increased HP. As it is, in the lower levels the bramble shield is just right to protect against similar level DGs but in later levels it really does not do anything. It is gone in practically 2 hits from most assasins. If there's a concern that it may make other DGs in QoT's team very difficult to ki
