Dark_Ansem got me thinking - I`d like to see a planet type that exists within a nebula.

I still think one of the best, succinct expansions could be to introduce a roster of new Capital Ships for each faction. Give us a choice from amongst many, all according to our own preferences and play styles. For example, as a Vasari guy, sometimes I crave a more combat-oriented fleet - tons of conventional hardpoints for lasers, pulse cannons, and phase missiles - over more effects-based 'peculiar' craft like the Nanotech ship. Another idea: a voice pack. Allow players to c
Classical music absolutely *does* fit epic sci-fi. Disagree there.
More map diversity for "random" maps. Like - random with choke points with planet clusters only connected by 1 or 2 or at most 3 phase lanes. - random with planet clusters that are only connected by worm holes.
I especially like those ideas. I`d like to see being able to control how many Stars (via a range i.e. 3 to 5) are at play in a Random map.
Quoting WarlokLord, reply 10 Even more planet types! Can`t have too many. I think you are wrong, many mods have too many planet types, making them weird and unrealistic (like small garden world, industrial world, etc). I think maybe 1-2 more planet type that are already confirmed to have a chance to exist in our universe (mods tend to ignore this).. Though the DLC already covered this
This has been said often before I know, but bears repeating - being able to select individual leader/diplomat profile pics for each faction. Having to choose them by the set is just... unnecessary. Very minor, yet desirable. Different voice sets for the factions as well; maybe in-game being able to assign a captain voice to each capitol ship would be great. Some voicings for the Vasari are kind of annoying. New Capitol Ships - Allow a player to select (in-game) which available
Thanks Sareth. I wonder what is officially in the works for us from Ironclad.
Thanks for the info, CyberCheese. I kind of hope the Vasari Rebels might get some sort of boost (relational or Cannon-wise) now that this aspect of their operation has now been so significantly curtailed. Anyhoo...
1. Sector Events Every system is its own static type of space (i.e. Nebula, Dead Asteroid, Greenhouse Planet, etc.). Introduce space events that temporarily add profound effects to such areas (multiple connected systems at once! migrating through the Star system until it fades). Example - Ion Storm: energy-based special abilities of ships or structures are disrupted while in the Storm. Lasts for a great period of time (measured in minutes, not seconds... try about 5-15
Hmmm. Just finished reading an old thread describing the change made to the Vasari Rebels. Given all the Herculean Research now necessary to ever make use of this capability I would simply like to confirm the following: Vasari Rebel Starbases can no longer be moved from system to system unless you have Phase Nodes at both the origin and the destination. Vasari Marauder Phase Nodes and the Phase Node temporarily created by a Kostura Cannon (?? thats differ
When I save my singleplayer game, overwriting a previous one, the re-load of said savegame fails: I get a black screen, the game freezes, and an error report gets sent out (once I manually shut things down, that is). It seems that overwrites corrupt save files.
I agree with the OP and would prefer to see the following: 1. Dramatically increase the cost to build a Titan vessel. More credits, more ore, more crystal. That alone - when sufficiently increased - would delay the entry of these ships into a game. 2. Slow the Titans down. They are TITANS. Make them move like they are. Any vessels keeping pace with such a starship in a fleet would move very slowly. (Alternate: make them Jump more slowly - actual transit times could be cut
I agree with the original post by the original poster - a minor matter, but nonetheless it would be nice to be able to pick race portraits individually instead of by the set.
If folks might enjoy such writ, an editorial of mine on true Leadership as pertains to gaming.
Related to the discussion I think: any chance we could save the game progress when simply in the midst of building your character? There are alot of decisions to make and a great deal to choose from - it would be wonderful to be able to come back to the process later, after you`ve had time to think about things, and once more time has been made available in your own schedule to seriously sit down and continue with your 'generation'.
Rakion eh? Sounds hilarious!
It may also be of interest to note that the game supposedly was open to all players. I wonder if there is a point to be made about strategy guide perusals in regards to winning. I don`t wish to "know how to win" so much as I wish to play and have fun. I wonder what happened to that. If summoning and directing Yeti is a fun pursuit, then whenever I play Sedna I may be inclined to do so. If I play Unreal Tournament I can pay attention to where potential spawn points are, and with the ri
Yeah my stats dont have 500 games (actually 15 or so). But NO ONE will play with me, purely based on stats. This is the worst community I have ever played in. Honestly, Im so sick of it. I can see why no one plays this game online. I know how good I am compared to other players. I have 15 games or so and 30% score, but how can you judge me by that when this whole game is based on TEAM-Play? wtf? most of the time I lose matches thanks to teammates. I started p
I`m not interested in playing with people concerned only with winning. One gains experience playing. One can only get better by doing so. The community in which one can do so is one of the whiniest group of 'win'-oriented clans I`ve ever seen. Perhaps I`m unfairly characterizing the many by the example of a few. I apologize for that if that is the case. I am also aware that Ready To Play is attempting to alleviate this sort of thing. I must confess to what can be terme
Nope you guys are right. The Armour Of Vengeance doesn`t calculate arrow shots. I wonder what took me down so amazingly quickly then? (mulls & ponders)
Btw, regarding lesser A.I.s, I notice that the Hard enemy A.I.s get stuck or try to navigate impossible paths (i.e. across spaces in the map) far less frequently than Hard friendly A.I.s. I assume that lower difficulty A.I. characters are also less adept at pathfinding.
Good idea. I`ll test it anyway, see what happens. It would be grand if when you were slain the game gave everyone an onscreen message about the method of your death, something indicative of the culprit. Sometimes it is difficult to tell. (Note: I`ll try it with TorchBearer instead of UB... seems to be most common when fighting TorchBearer.)
I suppose while on the topic of bugs I should also mention concern over pathfinding bugs most notably on Crucible, which others have spoken of often. Potentially this problem is worse for lesser A.I.s?
Am I in error in citing such a bug? I don`t think so. Early game I`ve encountered enemies against whom my Rook goes down in nonsensical time, a result that resembles that detestable bug.
