I regret that I do not have the time right now to offer something in depth. I just wanted to say I am quite pleased with how Entrenchment has turned out and that I look forward to both the next two expansions and the final sum incarnation of Sins, where all the various expansion material may be inter-balanced. That is to say, and this is a secondary aspect of my comment, I imagine that a given faction may find itself better at fortification than at commerce, or another at diplomacy than

Singleplayer is an important feature to me. Multi is nice, but a good campaign within Demigod trappings is something I am definitely looking forward to. A lack of that would hurt the product for sure.
Lol, that's awesome Frogboy. Since I'm a hardcore geek, I ended up shelling out for a fast 37" 1080p set for my PC and I haven't regretted the purchase for a second. Watching a huge battle in Sins or a game of Demigod on a "big" (relative to PC monitors) screen is epic.
I must admit that is enormous. I`m content with my Samsung 22inch T220, but then again after seeing my brother`s 52 inch Samsung TV, I no long

Another preview article. http://www.gamebanshee.com/previews/majesty2-1.php Notable are the facts that Heroes will look different from character to character (at least thats how the preview read...) and that Heroes will change appearance as they level up or gain new abilities. Having Heroes visually reflect their abilities sounds fantastic. Also of note: the mechanism to place Flags upon friendly NPC

I`m not sure I would see a use to the ability if I took damage while using it... that didn`t really work before, and I don`t think it would work now.

In the latest versions of Sins I have observed that 3 capital ships with 4 Siege Frigates take down a planet over a VERY lengthy period of time... certainly long by comparison to what we experienced before in earlier Sins incarnations. To wipe out a planet as quickly as one used to in the first Sins game, you would likely need about 12 to 14 of them; right now it seems like Siege Frigates do very little compared to capital ships. You assume that a game of Sins commonly sees all player

I disagree completely with the notion that Mist Form is imbalanced. Essentially Mist Form does what almost any other Demigod`s ability does amongst Minions - just more slowly. Rook, Queen Of Thorns, TorchBearer all have area of effect attacks that instantly annihilate Minions. Encounter Minions? Tactic #1: walk amongst them, tap area-of-effect ability. Rook has a further ability to deliver nightmarish damage on a direct hit, even to a Demigod. Lord Erebus` ability makes him invulnerable, sure

Effect Feedback When Lord Erebus has his Soul Drain (or whatever the life drain ability is called) active, you actually SEE a visual around Erebus to indicate it is there & in play. This logic needs to be applied to every effect in the game, especially with talk of identifying and eliminating or curtailing "cheese". I speak most particularly about Items. If I get Sludged (Sludge Scroll - a good example), I need to know that

I don`t have a problem with Regulus being able to attack at range. I *do* think however, that Regulus inherent ranged attack, boosted by his numerous ability/skill amplifications & effects, makes him a dominating character. His projectile-oriented nature gives him the advantage in the battlefield - guns to melee fights, as I`ve mentioned elsewhere. I am comfortable with Regulus being able to hit towers from beyond their ranges. Given his speed, I think his fragility should be incr
Didn't really have the patience to read the 3 pages so I dont know if anyone came up with this idea already but it's perfect. Make it so that sieges need to be deployed. 1 minute of setting up before they can shoot the first shot at a planet. Makes it so that they can't just rush to a grav well and blow up the planet, and allows you developer people to make the seiges a lot more powerful once they do st

The new introduction is more for a game that you already have, whereas the old trailer is exactly that - something representative of that which you have yet to get. Its a promo. I could see the old trailer playing following a span of time *after* the main intro, when the game is running in an idle "attract" mode.

Love the new intro. Great dialogue - very epic, well-written. Avoids cliches. And the voicework is fantastic. You present a new world & mythology in a very sophisticated manner. Thumbs Up.
I have some further observations on this. Nightcrawler summoning breaks every time you advance Improved Conversion Aura, and is fixed every time you advance Coven. As a workaround, put points to them in pairs, clicking ICA first and Coven after that. If you take the last level in Coven and then max ICA, you're screwed for the rest of the game. My guess is that Improved Conversion Aura somehow sets the max amount of Ni

Multi-Use Items Modification Using the Sludge Scroll as an example, a Demigod purchases the scroll, utilizes it, and defeats his Demigod foe. The defeat accomplishes three things - it garners the slayer both experience and a boost in gold, and it of course prevents the foe from participating upon the playfield for a time. By the time the foe returns to battle, the Sludge Scroll is ready for use again, so that the slaying Demigod

You create an array of patterns that are sophisticated enough to give the illusion of intellect. If the combination is clever enough, you can successfully simulate a reasonably intelligent player. I don`t see this as an impossible feat, especially when other games have pulled it off. Btw, I don`t recall the Supreme Commander A.I. cheating, except perhaps when it came to being aware of where your units were after they had made an initial contact with the enemy. SupCom is a game I would

Missing Erebus NightCrawlers Erebus initially generates NightCrawler minions, but later (at least in the game I played, pumping the NightCrawler abilities up both by 2 tiers) they stopped getting summoned. I wound up pretty handicapped. On the fiery map (Mine I believe).

Another preview, with some thoughtful comments/observations as well as some unthoughtful ones (he complains about 'downtime' where all you do is sit back and watch and wait for things to happen... well YEAH - thats the game!...). http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/majesty-2-8211-the-fantasy-kingdom-sim/954566p1.html I got an e-mail back from one of the Paradox folks who expressed a

A.I. challenge does not require cheating. Many games have proven that. Creating an A.I. that plays by the rules and yet is a decent adversary is something to aspire to... and something many other game design teams have succeeded in doing. I like Demigod and the folks behind it, but I am not inclined to be content with a single player or skirmish featuring Cheating Bastards®. I`ve faced enough of those in lesser games, made even lesser by them. And again, a cheating opponent is com
