I had no experience with ME, though consensus has it that ME was an ill-conceived OS, but Vista is not so ill-conceived and certainly not another iteration of ME. Admittedly, MS could have marketed it better, and addressed various issues (pricing being one of them), but Vista is more stable than XP at the same stage and has greater potential.
People who compare any NT based OS by Microsoft to Windows ME really bug me. How do you compare Vista for instance to Windows ME wh

Anyone have any idea whats wrong? I'm wondering if Stardocks tricking x64 into not resizing the system tray icons just needs to be applied to the nav bar/save as dialog? Or possibly if the titlbar height is a certain height it messes it up?

Whoops, should have included this bit too; After opening the skin in SKS6 and changing the BMP titlebar height to 23 all problems went away. But I also noticed something else, take a look at the Back/Foward buttons on each image, after setting the top frame height to 23 they seem different....like it actually should look, it seems like the first image is less transparent giving it a darker look? So the recent update fixed the problem with System Tray icons, but there are still other issues tied to the Titlebar heigh being over "23". For instance here is explorer with Optix: The same thing goes for the "Save As" Window it seems(as noticed when saving that image), the favorite links pane in the Save As window also had larger icons. Oddly enough IE7 does not have this issue.

I think alot of people like themes that change the size and proportion of the Taskbar/Start Menu/Frame...etc. Like smaller taskbars, uniquely shaped frames and so on. Optix for example is quite a unique skin. I think peoples taste just varies thats all.

I'm not sure what kind of chance the lawsuit has. Wikipedia: In economics, a monopoly (from the Greek monos, one + polein, to sell) is defined as a persistent market situation where there is only one provider of a kind of product or service. Monopolies are characterized by a lack of economic competition for the good or service that they provide and a lack of viable substitute goods. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monopoly AT&T ha

Completely untrue. Try Xandros sometime. Runs all sorts of Windows applications. Installs in 5 clicks. Runs the internet in less than 5 minutes after install. Nothing fancy - everything just works. Educate yourself!! Uh huh, and you're telling me someone who can barely install a pc game or browse the web would be able to set up Xandros all by themself? Have you ever encountered someone that when told to press any key they responded with "I cant find that key
