I had this exact problem on Vista x64, rebooted to the classic style and no themes would be applied. Uninstall Windowblinds and reboot. Once you've booted back up reinstall WB through SDC and you should be set.

A few things I see there, icons arent fully Vista supported (256x256, Live folders), the start panel needs tweaking for the All Programs menu, Log off butons, Navagation bar & tab work. I never said it wouldn't work, I said it wasn't wb6.
Are the WB6 & Vista Ready? Can you chose from a list or are the pre-selected? I am teetering on subscribing and if the Magic blind was one of them it would push me over the edge.
Only one is(RIP07), 2 could use an update, one is newish but no wb6 (The bottem one in Zubaz pic)
I just noticed theres a bit of a typo on the Wincustomize Subscription Page perhaps, System Requirements: Windows 2000/XP/3000 256MB Ram Internet Connection [link="https://www.stardock.com/products/wincustomize/"]WWW Link[/link] Windows 3000?
Is any country other than the US in it? .....
Nope. Why can't it be called a World Series? You said it yourself no other countries in it, therefor the World Series title.
Yeah.. I run 32 bit apps just as fast as they do in the x86 OS, that statement is..... false.....
I use 64 bit because I have 4 gigs of ram. When I use 32 bit the OS see's 3.5 gigs which I can deal with, but I recently found out 1.5 gigs was being relocated elsewhere and games where only seeing 2 gigs of ram. I could deal with 512mb not showing up but 2 gigs not being used in a game? No thanks.
It's kinda funny that MS is already working on the next version of Windows (codename: Vienna), which is due to come out in '09. XP was out 5yrs. before Vista was launched. Maybe thats a clue, because XP direct support runs out (coincidentally enough) in '09.
They start working on a new OS everytime the release a new one, its nothing new. And judging how Microsoft does things it will probably be out in 2010-2011. They didn't start work on Vienna/Seven/CODE NAME WHATEVER -
Nor should it be. XP works out of the box, Vista doesn't for soooo much.
Uhm, wrong? Vista is their new OS, why would they put their older OS before their new one? Doesn't make much sence to.
does nothing for the folks who are finding it un-useable through no fault of their own. Provides no solice.
This kind of thing shouldn't really be new to anyone. Everytime Microsoft comes out with a new OS a select group of people complains because it wont run on older hardware. Then a service pack comes around, people are upgrading their PC's and getting that new OS with them. Before you know it Microsoft is releasing a new OS and that same process is repeated.
that it will have a few of the Vista features (like dreamscenes).
Thats false, Dreamscene is a Vista Ultimate only feature (addition).
Anyone remember Win95? 2000? Remember all the shit that was wrong when they came out? Everyone should know by now that buying any new vers of windows is iffy. I'll buy Vista AFTER SP1 comes out. Unless they actually plan on putting out SP3 for XP. That might delay Vista-ization.
They are but SP3 is not as high of a priority as SP1 for Vista.
There was an update last night, but I've noticed a bug with it. I have a .reg file I usually use (works on 32 bit with IP flawlessly) to remove the shortcut arrow. This method works fine in 64 bit except when using IP the shortcut arrow appears again. When I go to the settings to disable the shortcut arrow through IP it breaks the Favorite Links pane on explorer so no shortcuts are displayed in it. Reapplying the .reg I use works when I kill explorer and load it back up. But if the PC r
It seems to! Though I am on Vista x64 (HOORAY FOR IP NOW WORKING ON IT!) it does seem to now be showing the text.
Also on my Quad core when I was running Vista, it was not nearly as responsive
Runing 32 bit? I can see why, the performance increase with the 3rd/4th core in 32bit is horribly bad and not even worth using. Oh and no thats not just for Vista. In a 32bit OS adding the 3rd core will increase your performance up to 15% if you are VERY lucky, the 4th is a mere 5%.
sorry didn't realize i was under the pirate skin when i first posted did u figure out what to do Asty
Resize the window so it fits the entire screen
thats not a problem with the skin, thats a problem with windowblinds dawg. i've also experienced it.
You know if you put it on you're XP box you can grab the .suite
No, just a useless OS for those of us with those products. Doesn't matter whose fault it is, fact remains, don't work, useless to us. MS released an OS they knew wasn't ready for primetime.. period.
Yes because a more secure OS is a bad thing, thats understandable!
Quit letting MS control your wallet!
I switched to Vista because I personally think its superior to XP. I had tried it in it's beta process and loved it. I sence a bit of ignorance mixed in with just being stubborn... I think most people need to understand that because Vista has issues with some hardware (HEY WHATS UP NVIDIA AND CREATIVE! HOWS IT GOIN?) doesn't make it a terrible OS. I hate when people make excuses for companies that are just lazy with supporting the
Remember this is a voluntary forum and I'm sure your not the only person submitting support tickets.
I never claimed I was, did i? Nope, can't say I did.
OK .. so wait here. But no reason to complain about no action.
Right, next time I won't post any bugs I find at all...
Last time I sent support an email I was waiting a week, within that week I posted on the forums and the problem was fixed. Once the problem was fixed I then got an email from support saying that they fixed it. (activation issues - so in about a week I got my activation count reset twice due to lack of communication)
Please don't tell me I went thru the trouble of taking these shots with detailed descriptions of the problems so no one would even bother to look at it, let alone respond.
It runs very slow and it's on a machine with 1 gig of DDR 400 memory
Runs fine on a machine I've got with 1gb ddr400 (crappy value ram) and its got only a single core 2.4ghz AMD processor with an ATi 9250. Granted I cant run Aero on it, I was until my old 6800 croaked.... but anyway, it runs perfectly fine on that PC.
