What are the best ways to QUICKLY regain control of the Senate?
Unfortunately, it looks like you may need to wait until the next election. In the meantime, continue building an invasion force to make conquering your enemy easier. Did you try the suggestion of offering war as a gift? I've never done this without control of the Senate and wonder if it works...

Look for the Attack option in the Dipomacy screen (when you're talking to an AI). You can bribe AIs to attack other AIs by offering techs, BCs, ships, or systems (although I highly discourage ships or systems!). There's also an Attack option on your side of the Diplomacy screen. You can offer a "gift" of you going to war with somebody. Although this screenshot is from an older version of the game, you can see the options to go to war with the AIs on the left and right sides und

Hmmm...I thought it was 1/2 too. Have they changed that? I'm almost positive it used to be 1/2. :notsure:
Try the same strategy with default alignments and I bet as soon as the 4 Evil Civs get some ships built they'll start declaring war on you!
I play all AIs at Chaotic Evil and below, while I always play good. I finally had the Drath declare war on me in my last game. Before that, I've been able to maintain relations in every game. AP certainly requires lots of different tactics to be successful, but I wouldn't say that it's that much different than before. I am en
Oh yeah do you know about the SC2 project about a company bringing it back for free online, I can't remember the link thou.
Yes, it's called The Urquan Masters http://uqm.stack.nl/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl I've already downloaded and played it. They have done an excellent job! SC4 did "come out" but it just died as far as I know.
Also are you sure transports come fully loaded? I play traders and I bought some transports figuring I could dump them on my worlds to boost population, but they always seem to be empty.
Mine do...they're not always fully loaded, but they always come with troops.
I am amazed at what happened in MOO3. Here you have a great name brand with MOO1 and MOO2. All the developers needed to do was to make MOO3 evolutionary and not revolutionary. They just needed some more research skills, more races, maybe a twist or 2 in ship design and items and that's it. It would have had raving fans and lots of sales. IN fact, even better, they could have had downloadable updates for new races, research etc and got some money for this. So what did they do? They made a

The revolution event can actually happen to any major. I looked through the posts and found the names that they can change to:
[1Terrorist] Calor [2Terrorist] Venge [3Terrorist] Dmer [Race0] Terran Alliance [Race1] Drengin Empire [Race2] Altarian Republic [Race3] Arcean Empire [Race4] Torian Confederation [Race5] Yor Collective [Race0] Terran Confederacy [Race1] Drengin Federation [Race2] Delean Republic [Race3]

If you're interested in playing "multi-player", the only method currently available is a succession game from Realms Beyond empire. I don't know if they are starting one but they have one going on right now and they usually post AARs. If you're not familiar with the succession game format, it basically is a game which one player plays a year then emails to another player to play, etc. etc. I just bumped the thread: Realms Beyond GalCiv Succession Game 5: Training Day , which ou
