Not sure if futureshop.ca ships to Europe, but you can check them out. Canadian site, and with the exchange it may be cheaper.

I have trouble with my machine that is still running 1.02. I haven't finished a game on my machien that 1.35 since last night, it worked then.
My military is rarely very strong when I win by culture, and often under 100 in the ratings. However, by the time I make my big move, all the other empires (of any size anyway) like me. Then after you start assimilating their worlds, your army becomes stronger, comparatively speaking, because they can't support their large armies anymore.
slurpee? Isn't that an American thing? If it's up to us, you'll be drinking Labatts and Molson. We'll be trading back bacon (does any Canadian actually eat that stuff anymore?) Tim Horton's donuts and coffee. However, you'll know you're in trouble when the starbases start broadcasting Beachcombers reruns... Pray we show mercy and give you the channel with SCTV and Kids in the Hall.
Outstanding, you bumped us all the way to #11. Only 1100 points from the top 10 now!
P.S. Technician, we'd love to have you in "A Canadian Odyssey" Empire. With your points we could move up quite a bit.
haha, as of right now anyway, the description for it is some other game. Leave it to the dinks at FS! :-)
Actually I do remember a post where Frogboy mentioned it. I think there was a bug in one of the releases of 1.03 that it was charging maintenance but not listing it in your costs, screwing up your estimate for the coming turns' economy. Unfortunately the forum doesn't let you search on content only subject, at least as far as I know.
To answer the earlier question Stardock version: .99k.163 build 11 At least that's what I used today.
Tried refreshing Application Data but still the same problem. Is it possible I have a corrupt temporary file? Is there a way to delete all temporary file and start the download from scratch?
I find if you don't have a strong military, everyone will demand tribute, and either you go broke or you go to war. At this point the alignment doesn't seem to matter.
Stardock Central updated itself when started so I assume it's the latest version. I did not try refreshing the Application Data so I'll try that today.
I'd disagree, I think that's obvious it's boring. However, I'm willing to put it to a vote.
Yeah, but 5 maintenance isn't a problem for culture bombing. I mean, you can build 5-7 starbases fully decked out for culture, and it only takes 5-8 turns, then you just disband them. I do it in the middle of their empires first and then work my way out because I tend to win the influence in all the surrounding sectors as well that way.
It is definately harder, but it is possible. What usually happens when I'm playing is some major AI will come in and beat them up and steal their planets, and then revolt to join me. In the end, no one can withstand our culture...
The Sens purchase by their new billionaire owner is all but complete. He has no plans to move the team.
I've taken over planets from influence in the center of their empires with nothing but starbases. Of course it did take 6+ with the party palaces. Everybody likes my parties, when they come to town, everyone joins our party! Of course, we spend so much on parties, our military is weak, and that's usually my downfall...
Although this transport idea is sound, my problems with population and morale start before I even have transports. Maybe I have to adjust my research goals. There's just too many things I want to get to in a hurry!
Here's some ideas so far: Hosers Strange Brew Canucks Great White North Any others? Like any of these better?
I'm listening to suggestions...
Yes, but you only get, what is it 1/10 or 1/5 of the influence if you build in the adjacent sector compared to if you build in the sector. I build them in the same sector that they control, often with multiple planets. You just have to build VERY fast. Like I said, go in with 30 constructors in a single turn, it doesn't take long that way... I did it again in my victory last night, over and over. That's my typical end game.
Once we collect enough players, we'll vote a new name if people want.
If you're Canadian, please join our Empire. We're open to the public. We're currently ranked #20, ahead of those Texans, but way behind the Euros... Plus, you get to see a nifty red Maple Leaf next to your posts if you join! :-)
It would be nice to have more colors to kind of indicate when you're getting close so you can throw in a few extra bucks or something.
I really like the idea, but as someone has suggested, you just have to be careful what choices for disadvantages you have. The ones you can choose have to be meaningful. Also, it probably wouldn't hurt to have a maximum number of advantage points you could receive in this way. If you want to take further disadvantage points beyond that for role playing purposes, maybe get a bonus to your score or something. You know, since you took the extra handicap.
