The tournament has begun! Revanfl, you might want to add me or DeathTacticus on steam or poke us on discord: https://discord.gg/xp6J6 We'll help you get in touch with the rest of your opponents! Also, Blues is probably going to post about the single player challenges soon for everyone else interested.

Yes, I'm just being terrible at everything. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13eSiD9Gkb8ZEfgR95xjkW_McfsB6MBdIN9lF_Zi7fbI/edit#gid=0
Forgot to post it earlier, whoopsies! September FFA happening on Saturday Sept. 17th at 19:00 GMT. The format we'll be using is going to be similar to the previous Team-FFA tournament, except instead of electing captains who would draft their teams, the teams will be formed based on when the people started playing the game. Basically, it's a chance for everyone to see if early Early Access veterans can be challenged by the newer waves of players. Normal setup (standard
Ended up doing a nice little 6-player round robin. Here are the replays: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cne57kci8bu7vfz/July%201v1.rar?dl=0
So, finally I got all the replays together. Some of them turned out to be incomplete (which is largely a mistake on my part), I'll try to make sure that in the future everything is done properly. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nouum8l8qxlhtjo/July%20FFA.rar?dl=0
July 1v1 will take place on July 30th at 19.00 GMT We'll be moving towards a Swiss system instead of all-play-all Round Robin, because 1. Amount of open spots is to be unlimited 2. We want to have no more than 7 rounds to keep this thing managable. Other than that, standard game rules, random prices, reveal map, masq etc etc etc. Post here if you would like to sign up! (or on the "main" OTC discord) 1. Duban 2. Stef Verzelen
Sign me up please!
Here are the replays from all the games! All 45 of them... https://www.dropbox.com/s/esnbdty3gri849x/June%201v1.rar?dl=0
I would appreciate if those who don't have me on Steam added me for ease of communication
Yep, a 1v1 Round Robin on June 25th, all-play-all, for up to 10 people (for a maximum of 9 rounds). Starts at 18.00 GMT though it is possible to adjust the time if there's interest among New Zealanders/Australians (do we even have Australians?). Standard ruleset, a win = 1 point. I'll give tiebreakers a bit more thought, possibly we'll use time anyway. Also, it's possible that I am not going to stream it since Zultar is likely going to, meaning I will be demanding replays agai
Here are all the 20 games of the tournament. Not all of them got streamed, so you might want to check some of them out. https://www.dropbox.com/s/dcv5bbqooc7sq5z/War%20of%20the%20Worlds.rar?dl=0
Are you writing this based on any actual data? I genuinely can't think of anyone in the community that cares about his ranking in a niche game to a point wgere he'd spend $40 to get an alt. This really feels like an odd statement coming out of the blue...
A problem with those early reviews is that some people, who even fully understand that they reviewed an unfinished product and gave a negative review realising the game will change simply forget to update/remove their review. Either removing the old reviews or splitting them from post-release somehow would do the game more service imo.
Old World vs New World sounds great
Just to clarify, pirates (to my knowledge) cannot steal power.
You cannot sell any of your starting stock, say, if in a 4 player FFA you start with 2 stocks of your own, you can never own fewer than 2 stocks in your company. AI cannot do that either. If it looks like you can't sell any stock at any point in the game... Are you sure you're pressing ctrl+click? It's a serious question, I actually don't remember if the tutorial covers stock sales and imo, ctrl+click is not a superbly intuitive shortcut for that action
Hovering over buildings isn't necessary, you will eventually learn to make rough estimations in your head. The numbers you see when you do hover over do not include power/shipping costs (as far as I can remember) as those are listed separately. It's really not necessary to do any math in this game imo, contrary to what one might think when they learn that it's a game about numbers. Your example I guess is quite good in that sense. Say glass is worth 120$, silicon is worth
This particular statistic is a bit misleading because it does not count the number of buildings on the map at the end of the game but rather the total number of buildings built throughout the game (i.e. it counts all of the transitions. If you build 3 steel mills then scrap them when steel is super cheap to make 3 farms - that's 6 buildings you've built as far as that spreadsheet is concerned). It's quite possible that prices were jumping all around and the AI was just making a to
The Pleasure Dome does not pay money into debt like power, it was changed a longish ago. Debt most certainly matters, I would say even at the latest stage of the game the difference in a couple bucks of stock price can be big (in close races), but before then managing debt is a difficult and very important problem. Taking debt is a risk and you do it to gain some sort of in-the-moment cash benefit. Forcing Offworlds to repay debt would mean that taking on debt would always be ba
Yes, definitely cannot see DC replays, including my own. Did not restart without while in-game (I think it was my first try)
Unfortunately Friday wouldn't do. The only time we managed to work out is tomorrow (Thursday) 15.00 EDT. That's when we're playing
Dwemi vs YerAnd is scheduled for 16.00 EDT on Monday.
Me vs Wino will be at 3 pm EDT (or maybe a bit later) today
Wino, absolutely! If it's too much of a problem we can surely find some other time
