OK, i took one more stab at a mechanized Iconia. I removied the clouds for a better view. Yea? Nea?

You better end up releasing this. I plan to release them shortly after the final release of Dark Avatar (february 14th as of now), to make sure they're fully compatible with any last minute changes. I don't forsee any issues, but one never knows.
And Kora? You prefer the red oceans over perhaps an orange/black ocean.
*Yells into the wilderness* Hellllloooooo?? Anyone???? Kryo??????
Hey Kryo, is there going to be another beta update before the final? Not that I'm aware of, no. Ahhh, so i take it that anything that was being considered to be added into DA, that isn't in the current build, will not make it into the final? I.E. the plan was scrapped, like using a seperate ground forces for invasions other than popul
Alternate Iconia texture, a mechinized Iconia with piping and a mechanical look over the surface.
Reguarding Kora, the oceans are the red, and the land is the sick green and reddish combo. What do you think about redoing Kora's oceans in dark sick orange with a lot of black? Or do you like the pale red? As for Kryseth, i think you're right, out with the oil feild, in with more sand. (I guess i should start on the terrain color schemes. I've been putting it off b/c its such a PITA.
Hey Kryo, is there going to be another beta update before the final?
My take on Kora
I tried to blend some pail green foliage with desert and ocean. I thought the dark rocky patch went with the desertness, but here's the texture (shrunk to 512x256).
Ok, here's my first take on Kryseth... I'm not sure i'm digging it tho. Kryo, community, what do you think?
(DA final is marked as 1.5) AHH! Ok. Gotcha.
I've already requested most of that myself for 1.6. 1.6?? YIKES! 1.6, 1.6, can i get a 1.5? 1.5 anyone? Thanks Kryo, keep me posted. <td c
Kryo, do you think it might be possible for Cari or whomever is in charge in this department, to like... Well... Um... Do us modders a favor? And enable bump and spec textures for planet surfaces? And give us the ability to define specific individual cloud and night light maps for custom planets?? Also, is it possible to use a higher resolution .raw terrain map for planets? Other than 384x192? If so, how would i implement that? And as i'm about to make the raw terrains fo
Thala
You really should release them! OK OK I’ll release them when they're done. Maybe I could even persuade Kryo to certify them as well? (Still have Thala, Kora, and Kryseth to do. Problem is, there are no images for Kora and Kryseth yet. Kryo, an
Gah! i was editing my post Alex! Now i have to make a new one! D@mn you! Just kidding . The 2 above are Altaria and New Iconia. More: Toria Arcea <img src="http://www.dropfiles.net/
I would have posted these sooner, but the forums seemed to have been down for over 12 hours... At least for me.
Looks great. Are you drawing these by hand or using a planet-generator tool (such as Lunarcell)? The next step would be doing the RAW maps and getting those to colorize properly, but I wouldn't sweat too much over that unless you're really a masochist I'm generating them with Newtek Lightwave 3D. I have a huge database of source images f
Yikes, oh well... Anyways, i whipped up a High Res Drengi and Kona just to see how they would turn out, and how well i could do the alien worlds, what do you think? Oh, and Drengi has it's own custom High Res moon now too. Drengi Kona <img src="http://www.dropfiles.net/filez/3824/K
I've thought about doing high-res versions of the Alien's homeworlds too. Looks like you prefer Drengin eh?
... Oh my god. That is unbelieveably good. What do you have to have run it with that good graphics? A Geforce 10000 or something? For crying out loud...It's unbelieveable! LoL, Nah, not a 10000 . But i am running a GeForce 7900GTX (8xQ FSAA, 16x AF full tr
Screen shot from Galactic Civilizations 2: Dark Avatar Beta 2b, using 4096 x 2048 pixel resolution surface maps for earth, 2048 x 1024 pixel resolution cloud maps, 1024 x 512 pixel resolution maps for the moon, and updated background nebula graphics:
OK, well thanx, i'll expiriment. Thanks again for your help.
OK, i was just making sure i wasn't making some kind of dumb mistake or something like that . Will making the planets "{percentofstarsize}0.0{/percentofstarsize}" perhaps at least make them invisibile on the map (zoomed in)? P.S. Any idea about designating Star Color?
