Wetspikes, if that wallpaper is not your own design, it is recomended that you cover most of it with application windows other wise it's the same thing as distributing unauthorized work. Remember that the purpose of this thread is to let users show off their working desktop not a background design.

Hmmm, something funny about the ratings. in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

For the last couple of days I've noticed that the wallpaper library has gotten very peculiar ratings. All new designs start out with the average rating (6-7) and then all of the sudden, almost simultaneously they to way below average scores (3-4) Is this a one person's action or are the designs really that bad for multiple users to rate them low? I've haven’t seen this many low ratings on an every day basis since I've been here. I don’t know it all just looks too weird to me. <img s

I have to agree and disagree with you on this one Joe. I agree that the quality on the work submitted to the wallpaper library has decline considerably, as the OD library has gotten a 'boom' on submission, yet for the most part is has been flooded with many unusable icons and lots of 'cut & paste' images, not to mention the fact that instead of uploading a icon pack people prefer to upload a dozen of individual images that only serve to push down previous work. I totally agree with Paxx. There has to be variation as much as originality, and as Jafo said, good boring skins will remain boring. I guess the fact that many people are getting into skinning and are experimenting for the first time inspired by the style of other artist is the reason why we see so many 'repeats' of designs. For the most part OD is a great program and as Shameless Designs mentioned, it is quite a bargain at that price (even with the upgrades) I've found my self purchasing programs worth 100's of dollars and then shell another $60-80 in upgrades within a year. That happened to me when I was making the color variations of the Matrix_Xtream skin. I found out the hard way not to rename the skins. Luckly for me I had a back-up of the images and I didnt have to start over again. Sorry to hear it happened to you Phoon. I hope you get it all together again.
