feline, I think messenger runs all the time...even if it doesn't show as running if you pull up your ports it's ususlly there listening on port 5000. You can change the registry to prevent it from ever loading if you want to try it: Registry Settings User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Messenger\Client] System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Messenger\Client] Value Name: PreventAutoRun, PreventRun Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Val

when you boot, windows is looking for the MSI file. Re-download file if you don't have on your system and when it gives you the error it will let you browse for file...let windows install it, then you can either un-install it or leave it on your system, set not to load on startup. http://www.xymantix.com/sysmetrix/download.html <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT

yeah....at some point everyone will have to un-installed every Stardock app and then do a fresh install to get everything in order (they just have to remember to save their skins or they will lose them. I remember that WB update to a different folder...freaked me out too. I have to say that after the re-install the file folder thingy is a lot simpler <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/jo

If you mean Apps, then they should show. Tray version should be 1.2.017. I know that after I did a fresh install of XP and all my progies, that there is no longer a Object Desktop folder...it's now all in Stardock folder. Without a fresh install, good luck figuring any path out for the tray <img src="http://images.stardock.

Is this the 'hack' you tried? Registry Settings User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ Advanced] Value Name: EnableBalloonTips Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value) Value Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)

You're right.. good on desktop, but no go in OD. I even tried to link it thru the registry with no luck. I know the file is {BA126ADB-2166-D-B1D0-00805FC1270E}, maybe someone else can figure out the argument necessary for use with OD. Sorry <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm
