I haven't played WoW in like 3 years, but I recall a significant difference. In Warcraft you need X points used in total in a tree before the next tier unlocks, and has nothing to do with your actual level. In Demigod, it is entirely level + previous skills based. You can upgrade to level 4 requiring skills even if you do not have 3 skill points already allocated, which is the difference.

It isn't a question of whether people live too long, it is a question of whether cheap HP items are far too often the best to buy. That is, are the strategies to a player limited by them being too good? Please note the changelog(reply #2), as I have not done what you have think I have. I do not plan to change DG's starting HP at this time, and I do not think it has been suggested. I have only changed HP items that are either favor items, or cost less than 2k gold. The bigg
I'm a So Cal native who is a Developer/Project manager for a local software company, and I'd love to help as much as I can, I've started pooling ideas for a Balance Mod (In another thread) but I could probably also help anyone who needs a bit of coding help. I haven't worked in Lua before, but I did read a fair about it this past weekend. Seems like a pretty decent scripting language. Hmm, I had a link to a lua tutorial page somewhere, if I track it down, I'll post it.
I'm not sure it's working. Me and a random Pug totally owned these two guys who had like 80% or greater win percentage. Doesn't seem possible. What were their names again? Kylel? Panchov? Something like that Q;^)

Mercerb, consider how do you get both rank 2 ooze and rank 2 spit as Unclean beast, at level 4? Once you answer that, I think you'll figure it all out.
not to mention that maps like cata or prison have 20% xp flags, which means u have 40% more xp than ur enemy during the time u have that flag (I say about half the time to be fair). but if u invest in a few caps locks u can deny ur enemy serious exp. and if they dont buy any xp upgrades they will fall behind very soon. This goes back to what Epiphenomenon said: It makes it easier to push your opponents off of flags, which transla
I'm putting my Money where my Mouth is (As opposed to Pacov who puts his Soap where his mouth is... ooh burn!) and have started work on creating a balance mod for Demigod. I have a thread currently in the Mod forum, and if you'd like to contribute to the process of re-balancing the game, please post there. Try to be constructive where you can. <span style="text-decorat
Chasing some guy through a bunch of towers to get the finishing blow, and then making it out alive. It is one of the most awesome feelings there is, because you feel like some sorta terminator, that WILL NOT STOP until you are DEAD.
Okay, first round of changes has been updated. These are all in an attempt to make HP items a bit less effective, and Damage items a bit more effective. For instance, Gauntlets of Brutality changed to +35 damage, and Banded changed to +350 Health. It now takes only 10 hits for one to compare to the other, in comparison to 16. Please discuss if you wish to whether those changes look generally okay. I hit the Blood of the Fallen and Unbreakable boots the hardes
Just to add my .02c Hmm, ok, I propose a simple test. You and your skilled Oak opponent both get monks and BotF and meet mid at game open. You pick Penitence and he picks Shield. He saves his shield until you have cast Penitence (stripping the debuff). Both of you focus monks on the other. Who breaks first?
No one breaks, my penitence wins, because I trigger it for the kill when he has less
What you say? You haven't seen "A Christmas Story"?
Ooh, that's a good idea. That would be some awesome dang data. Oh, and generalkazar, Assassin's have a skill that boosts STATS on them, GENERALS however have a skill that boosts the stats of your Minions. We played a game the other day, and in the replay I noticed you getting the minion buff skill without any minions! Just fyi :).
4. DO NOT SHOP MORE THAN ONCE till Rank 6. Which then you get angels/cata's. Provided someone got priests. If your way ahead in warscore go for those Proc boots 50% increase speed.
I don't think this is right actually. If you are double up in a lane, or can lock it and get back quick, keeping your gear up to date is a good thing to do. Control is still very important, but you will waste more time dying because yo
My words! You stoleded my words! I haven't tried it out yet myself, but the screenies look pretty sweet.
I was just thinking about all the negative threads I've seen recently, but I wanted to point out that Replays, which are a non-trivial addition to the game, are pretty darn awesome, and have made the game a lot more fun to play. Let us give propers where they are due, and be thankful at least for these things. The level of play has been increasing a bit, losses are less frustrating because you can see what people did to you, and we now have much more to talk about in strategy as well
Buff is right. She would definitely be IN the buff without them.
Hey Zech, Stack3d has posted a lot througout the forums and has helped quite a bit. He's australian so he should be forgiven for his utter lack of tact & trolling lol. (No offense to the other Aussies lol)
He may have in the past, but he's done nothing but complain and ultimatize in every post of his I've seen recently, and it is making me lose my otherwise stoic veneer. I must Shield myself from him, lest I end up doing penitence for my crim
It was a lot worse when the game came out, and a lot has been done. Honestly, the weakness of their initial release made me worry about the company, but at least they are conscientious enough to update their stuff after it goes out.
Trying out new strategies is the best path to victory in the long run however. Besides, I'd rather play a variety of different interesting games, than the same one over and over again. I didn't like Big Game Hunters either ;P.
I will drop the simple suggestion of always get Shield 1 first. if you dont do this you are a noob. L2P.
Thanks for your constructive help. I'm glad you've gone to join the HoN community now, since you will no doubt fit in well... but why do you continue 'helping us' learn to play over here? Not that we don't appreciate the ultimatums you lay down for us, what with your magnificent 56% win percentage, but seriously..
Yeah, Deep Freeze is awesome good now. Level 4 Deep Freeze after someone uses a 7 second skill increases its cooldown to 23 seconds, basically stopping it from being used again that combat. Deep freezing something like a flag lock or teleport, and you prevent the ability for minutes!
I pug most of the time, and only pre on the weekend. And my premade team generally consists of two people who don't play all that often. They are good players, but obviously not super experienced. So why don't I play more games with people I meet online? Honestly, I just don't have the luxury. It isn't easy to start chatting with someone after a game ends, even if it was a good game. You have to remember how to spell their name, add and send a message, and hope they respond.&nbs
My first inclination would be to not try and change the types of her effects if possible, and simply change the numbers on them. That way people don't have to completely relearn how to play her... she'll just be better at what she does. Make her shamblers have greater base strength, and decrease the cost to summon them, especially the first point. She has three skills that basically require her to have shamblers, it should be as obvious of a choice for her to buy them, as getti
