I was playing demigod against my friends and i noticed a few weird things happening during gameplay I was Unclean Beast and had the most kills of DGs and Grunts, but a team mate had more gold than me in the end.
You don't need kills to get gold, just 25% damage to a target. So he could have tagged more creeps. Also buildings give money when killed, and flags also do when captured. Assists is also a factor. Any/all of th

Honestly, I don't *want* to play more than 3v3 most of the time. 4v4 is the max, and I do it fine. I think people don't play 5v5's because it increases the random factor too much, and the big maps aren't necessarily better than small ones. Oh, and everyone just wants to play cataract.

What I mean is that just because someone else is going to LIKELY get the killing blow, a little overkill is better than a little underkill.

I would actually disagree that a free lane doesn't provide more xp. I know that in theory you can get the same amount of the lane enemy or not, but you also get to do peripherals, like capturing an extra flag, tagging more creeps (for gold) and maybe killing a tower (again for gold). The indirect advantages of not having someone competing with the lane definately turn into gold and to a lesser extent xp. And of course, as a team you will have more levels than the opponent because they m

You can still slam under a Roll 1, but it is a lot harder, and definitely not sure fire. The .5 seconds is 33% longer stun, and yes it does make a large difference. You will do significantly more Hammer damage over the course of the game with Roll 2 than Roll 1. Roll 3 is less important, but still worth getting.

Good players lose a game, and then try to figure out what they could have done to win. Less good players lose a game, and then assume their was nothing they could have done, and whine about it on the forums. You will never improve your strategies if you always assume someone else was the weakest link.

A monk is not a minor boost, but a relatively major one. How about you counter by having Sedna with Bishops, and a high priests from your oak? I'm pret

But the fall out of the battle is completely different. In a 1v1 battle with a team, you can't be as aggressive, because you constantly fear the telegank. Further more, flag distribution is very much different, as is lane priorities. In a 3v3 it is often more important to make sure you get xp, and flag swap than it is to drive an opponent from a lane. In a real 1 on 1 GAME however the person who first causes the other to run for the crystal has a *huge* advantage due to being able

I agree with Polly. 1v1 in a lane is a single encounter thing that results in one person having the flag, and the other not. 1v1 in a game however is a completely different thing, and has very little relavence on the way the game plays. In fact, I would almost argue that even a 1v1 lane encounter is a rare thing, since most players starting around level 3 or 4 have teleport scrolls, meaning there are always other players influencing the game. My argument about assassin ere

All good tips, let me add a few in the same vein: - Don't let people interrupt your flag locks: Level 3 shield by oak, or a well placed mass charm will give you a window large enough to get off a flag lock unperterbed. Especially important if owning that flag. Even 'faking' by using a healing potion or starting the lock and cancelling to draw out the pounce/penitence/etc can be valuable. - Buy the gold upgrade immediately when you get warscore 3. It is just t

That game is heart breaking. The one thing I took away from it more than anything else? I Want to THROTTLE that Regulus player. The way he played, he was either running away from 3v3 combat, with full health or dropping mines into the middle of a 6 person combat... and killing creeps with them? I don't think I've seen someone suck with mines that badly before.

Honestly, I think that the best counter to minion erebus is... Assassin Erebus! Mass charm deals with troops, you can match batswarm to batswarm, and generally have better mono e mono gear.
ehhh that can't be right. maybe you only gain 1 level with xp 2 if you sit in base and never creep, but whenever i get xp 2 my team is 9 levels ahead of the enemy collectively (3 levels each). Makes a big difference considering most heros get an AOE / Creep killing move at level 5-6. So the sooner they get that, the sooner they can power through creep waves and level faster. <b

Hackers also do 650 damage to you with a teleport scroll! I even once saw a hacker regenerate half his health without a casting animation. Damn hackers.

Doesn't seem like an exploit, I mean, isn't it an obvious advantage of a short range teleport? You 'cut the corner's on maps like cataract and leviathan all the time, going over a short gap just seems to be the next step. That'd be like saying that mass Charm + FLag lock to prevent an interrupt is an exploit.

Oak is a very strong late game Demigod.. but that's okay because a game of Demigod is often won because of good decisions made early in the game, and then capitalizing on those decisions as you level up. In this way, Oak is beaten in the same way most others are. For instance, you were worried that he had a large force of grunts supporting him. If early on you can manage your flag control so you get warscore faster, you will ultimately deny him of these. Secondly, maintaining co

Not that I agree with him not getting 1 level of snipe, but he gets the job done. A sniping/mines reg just can't cut it in the second half of any close cataract game - no flag control at all.
Do you mean to say that a 'snipe/mine' full build is poor at flag control? Because the Mines skill is definitely his best flag control sk

But at level 10, you have much less chance to actually set UP a tower farm. Later on in the game, you do a lot more teleporting to key locations like portal flags, etc. The game becomes too dynamic to rely on towers, whereas having tower of light should mount one level earlier is always going to be more beneficial. Also, you are noticeably stronger at level 8 because you spent a point on archers, and didn't save it.

Funny, I actually posted this exact build, skill for skill about two months ago. Two changes I made to it after playing it: 1) Don't get Tower 4 at rank level 10. By this point, your towers are really losing their effectiveness in combat. Instead get Archer tower at level 8, and tower of light at level 11 2) Staff of Renewal is probably not as good as Blood of the Fallen. After the stars left my eyes from the build, and I got down to it, I realized t
