I'm 65% certain that the gauntlets of despair don't actually give you mana, they just take it away from the target. Could be wrong.

Tomorrow's Headline shall read: Terrible expoit found, all 5 people who still play on Exile, up in Arms! Really does suck though.
Cool trick, remap 'ping' to something the left hand can reach. Makes you significantly more combat effective.
Got a steam account? My friends and I (west coast) also tend to play during roughly those hours (a game or two, sometimes more). We are... pretty good generally (yet to lose a game as a team, since stat reset). We use Steams voice chatting since it is easier. Let me know.
This is incoherent. The crystals are no where near the location of the lane. They can run back and forth to the crystal... it is the intended strategy of the map afterall... but that isn't the same as standing in the middle of the lane and fighting while being healed. Also, a 6k Regulus? Seriously?
Its not that bad end game. Its only bad if they are a horrible player. Me and 3 friends did a 2v2 with lvl 20 and filthy rich. My friend on the other team went with a minion build and Horn of Battle. Anytime the minions would come in they would kill a tower even when both of our uber DGs were beating on them. If we had left them alone, they would have killed our citadel 10 minutes earlier than they did.
Filthy Rich +
Quoting cwsault, reply 9 but Rain of Ice is one of the best kiting tools ever made. It's better and quicker than just autoattacking What. A spell with a FOURTEEN SECOND cooldown is better for kiting than a ranged auto attack on a Demigod with a slow aura?
The same DG who also has fireball, which does more damage, faster, and for less mana. I think anyone 'kiting' with rain of ice is likel
Capturing the second cooldown flag on cataract makes the beast truly hard to deal with. /spit.
Zechno your suggestions on Gladiator Gloves and Iron Walkers are too much, the gloves need zero improvement and the +30HP/s on the boots is unnecessary.
Gladiator gloves maybe.. but Iron walkers? How often are you at movement speed 5 or less? It needs to be some miraculously impressive effect seeing as how you cannot trigger it yourself. There are normal items in the game that give 1000 armor at about that same gold value (Armor of V
luckygrin is good, but can be a bit of a jerk, though. Also, its a little lousy that the top 20 ("best players") are all guys in premades. Oh well... I'll start hoarding stats after the next reset... host my own games, etc. Hope you guys at the top do get around to playing against each other.
Yeah, it is unfortunate because it dilutes the meaningfulness of the situation. For instance, Itchy has darn near
Were his teammates somewhat weak? That would indicate some sort of item sharing. I hope the answer isn't as simple as "hacks."
I'm much more inclined to believe the OP is simply mistaken in his memory of the encounter, or is embellishing, than that there was any kind of hacking. Seems much more likely.
The thing I thought was weird is that until 5 minutes into the game, you hadn't checked up on your ally in the other lane, nor had you gone back to base for lewt. Also, odd that you got ooze first in a hybrid build, imo.
Item Modifications: Helms Plate Visor: also give -5% ability cooldown Theurgist's Cap: Change to 100% change to deny 25% of health and mana regen for 10 seconds. Vinling Helm: Remove % gain modifier, instead make ability 3% chance to gain 1000 Mana on hit. Gauntlets Guantlets of Brutality: Decrease to cost 300 Gold Gladiator Gauntlets: +10% attack
Also should point out that if he had a queen of thorns or erebus ally, they can suck away your armor. If you get negative armor, things go south very very fast.
Great story. Myself and two buddies tried playing custom games last night. OMG premade right? Thing is, we put in the title of the game, that we were a premade group, and were genuinely trying to find OTHER premade groups to play with, or teams. We had some people who joined, and then said 'wait, you guys are premade?' curse us out and then leave. We had a specific person, one Viciousjs, who actually entered the game just so he could QQ about how most premades ju
Cataract is a small map, and therefore the games end abruptly once you hit warscore 8 or even 10. That is the nature of small maps. Try this strategy on Zikkurat, and tell me how it works out for you.

Dont tell me what to do and how to do . Ok ?
... likewise?
Man, this thread makes me so conflicted: On the one hand, I agree that mines are pretty well balanced. On the other hand, most of the people arguing this point (_Shadow) are being completely irrational about it. Consider it this way: _Shadow is obviously a pretty darn good player. He's ranked 3rd on the Ladder and has an amazing win percentage. Because he keeps claiming he will 'prove' that mines are not overpowered, by playing agains
Is it a player by player award, or based on your team? I mean, if I'm awesome, but playing with two people at the bottom of the ladder, and win anyway, you'd think that'd be an impressive win, instead of a 'meh' win.
http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/rankings/ladder/ Link above lists top X players of the game. I noticed they are ranked not on win percentage or anything like that, but on 'experience'. Does anyone know how this is calculated? How do you get experience? Can it be lost?
That is a possible explanation cwsault, but I would also point out that people like to win, so it is also possible that because people find themselves winning more with UB or Reg, they then play them more. Stats are really hard to find causality with, and almost any data set can be represented poorly. What we DO know is that QoT is not at all compelling enough to play with. I blame the fact half of her skills depend on shamblers.
A few interesting anecdotes: Fighting 1v2 against a torchbearer and Erebus, at about level 9 on Cataract. I start in against the TB since he has less health, and more damage output, when the Erebus teleports in to help. Normally a 1v2 situation is doom for the player... but not with Sigil of Vitality! I spit on the TB, turn on Ooze, grasp him, and as soon as the grasp starts, I activate the Blade of the serpent, completely refilling my mana. I start meleeing
So, actual changes that I've made: First of all,l I no longer get power of the tower 4 at level 10. Simply put, level 10 is about when the need for mobility, and the potential for grunt swarmps, start weakening the value of towers. Instead I've been getting Archers at level 8, and tower of light at level 11. Gets you more relevant assault or active defense skills early on. re: csebal I would say that your build is much more in
again if you are lvl 10 and have a mageslayer equipped or are fully equipped with narmoths ring you should already be on your way to winning the game. If you find yourselves losing these games then you probably are doing something wrong, like buying the mageslayer or ring intstead of cit upgrades ect.
Nobody said anything about narmoths + mageslayer. And you are still w
its a good item for sure. but Id like to mention if you are fully equipped with a narmoths ring by level 10 on beast then youve probably already won the game
Not at all, level 10 is pretty far into the game. Only thing listed you would have a hard time with is the ring, but it isn't too hard to get at about level 10.
