Thanks, Lantec. I have no problem with that but if the product is not even available for sale yet, Impulse should not be flagging it as an "update." There is a big difference between a product update and a whole new version of that product. Further, beta products should be clearly labeled as such. I just purchased Icon Packager 4 through Impulse. Icon Packager 5 showed as "update available" but Impulse would not let me install it so I went ahead and purchased version 4. Good Evening Everyone, I was able to update WindowBlinds a few minutes ago. It was unavailable earlier today when I tried. Windows Update is working and Windows Live Mail is fine too. That's the only "Live" program I am using right now. My system is only 32 bits so not sure if the problem with Windows Live platform was limited to 64 bit systems or Stardock fixed the update. Hope everyone else is good to go too.

Shelby, the latest update to Microsoft Update came out on 09/28/09 which means it was probably out there on 09/29 but I didn't notice it. Last night when I got home, I loaded Impulse and there was the update for WindowBlinds. In the middle of that, the update from Microsoft also started to install. It got very interesting for awhile there. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] Things finally smoothed out after I revalidated Vista but the update page error still persists. </p

Thanks for the idea RedneckDude but NView is not on. Up until now I have had no problems with the Beta except that dwm.exe is always saying is "failed." However, you would only know this if you go to the Reliability Monitor and checked the reports. I just checked Windows Update again when I got home. The error is still the same. Update to my previous post. If I simply unload WindowBlinds 7, the Microsoft Update page loads fine. As soon as reload WindowBlinds 7, the Microsoft Update page fails to load. Here is my system info if needed. The video card showing below is actually my backup card. My new one is a BFG Nvidia GTX 260 that failed. It has been RMA'd to BFG. Hope to get something back soon. Hi Tomcat2200, I agree with Savyg. It sounds as though there is something wrong with the installation. I just downloaded the latest update and I love it. It makes Impulse a lot easier to use. As Dash (love that dog!) said, you might want to uninstall Impulse and then do a fresh install again. When the install is finished, right click and verify it. That way you will know if there is a problem. You should turn off all security programs beforeha

Why are we still stuck in the age of black and gray? I like the functionality of the new interface but aren't we into themes, graphics and color? The black and gray looks like shades of the built-in Vista theme that I intensely disliked. That's why I purchased Window Blinds and Skin Studio. I wanted to escape from black and gray into the world of full color. Perhaps we will have some options in the future?

I had a bit of difficuty instaling WidowBlinds 7 too. I do not have Object Dock. I have WindowBlinds and SkinStudio 6. What I found after a bit of fiddling around was that I had missed a recent update to WindowBlinds 6. Once I right clicked on WindowBlinds 6 and ran the update, it installed the new version 7 without a problem. You might want to check and make sure you haven't missed an update to Object Dock as that could cause the same problem I ha

Hi Everyone, After sending my post below, I found the solution to the problem. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck! In this instance there were two bad pixels in the graphic. Checked the backup copy and it was fine so not sure what happened but I fixed the pixels and the menus look fine. [e digicon
