Hi there 1. Hera are a few of the multiple pathways Win by reasearching all the technologies. that's a pretty long investment in time and the tech tree is different if you are good or evil. Win by war destroying all other major races. Win by having all the surviving major races become allied with you (glactic alliance) Win by cultural conquest, Take control of the galaxy, (i think the % is changing but control x amount and

If you can keep the a.i's from attacking you yes it's possible. I did win once by finishing the tech tree, with a relatively small number of planets, but more planets colonized also means more people working on research which means done a lot faster ~SDC~

hi surther the threading the stardock has in the code is for the a.i to do his thing while you are thinking about what to do during your part of the turn.. In some games you do your turn hit done then the games has to start it's turn. Here the a.is are doing their thinking during times of your inativity (and that could be just milliseconds) so when you hit done, They are ready to move very quickly. It's a pretty amazing way to speed up the game. Good luck in the game. hope to see you a

they are actually very busy, i talked to them in the chat room, they were getting the bonus pack ready, redesigning the metaverse and of course they have all sorts of things being developed at http://www.wincustomize.com/ By the way there are a lot more cut scenes in the final version than was in the beta version. I just think they haven't had time to catch their breath yet to do the demo. Hope you can wait for the demo, it is a great game and a great forum. rich ~SDC~

when exploring a piece of space junk a mysterious signal eminates from it with incredible force, it's pointed to outside of the galaxy. Scientist examining the artifact announce it's from the race that seems to have destroyed the precursors. Something very terrible is at hand. ~SDC~

that would be cool, frogboy could make them so large that it would take us 6 months to finish a game (or is that to find the altarians who hid in the corner :) ) rich ~SDC~

Hi Anthony, Yes you can stay neutral the whole time, I've completed games on huge galaxies and stayed neutral till the end. I think only at the end does the technology tree differ, that's a question for frogboy he might be changing our world right now (bonus pack) rich ~SDC~

Hi Soulfire777 I play on the gigantic galaxies and it stays manageable till the end. There is definately enought tech. The last game that i won by researching tech till the end was on a gigantic galaxy and it took about 40 hours ti finish. funn all the way. I suggest that you start on the tiny or small galaxies to get you feet wet with how the game works. These can last an hour or 2. then get progressively bigger. Hope this helps rich ~SDC~

Hi Grizpin Welcome to the game. This is a great game. I was lucky to be in the gamma version, (just before gold) and it is so much superior to the last beta. I'm sure when you start you are going to have lots of questions. Last August i peppered the board when i was a noobie. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Somebody will answer you. I would say this is the best forum i've been involved with. See you areound the forum rich ~SDC~

Hi Nakor! except when they have the hot tub and waterpark in them, then they are like bounty paper towels "the great absorber" sucking up civilizations all around the galaxy. Got to figure how to get a terror star out of first gear.... ~SDC~

good vs evil i normally play the "good" way. there are strengths and weakness to every way to play. In evil you can chose (when you colonize planets) to exterminate a species, which can greatly enhance the planet quality, enslave a race, and other items, all of which create bonuses for you. The other races will treat you with more caution (you are evil after all) it might be harder to create alliances, and races might get wary of you much faster than if you play "good" <br
