Will building a starbase use the tactical slots of a planet and/or fleet/capital ship capacity?
They can be towed, so I suspect they will not impact tactical slots at all - besides, giving up the myriad regular defensive assets for some different defensive assets wouldn`t make a great deal of sense. <span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif

I would like to see Demigod (and for that matter Sins Of A Solar Empire ) feature a pre-set FPS test sequence via the option menu, something reminiscent of FEAR`s run-through, to help test and evaluate optimal game settings and acceptable performance of hardware. I don`t view this as frivolous, I view it as helpful to folks trying to establish a properly playable framerate versus visual beauty.

Evasion Too Effective Hi, You might remember me from such bugs as "Torch-Bearer fiery mode graphic reversion glitch" or "structure materialization freeze"... I have observed that when a Demigod is equipped with an item or items that impart 'Evasion' capability, every time they Evade damage they emit an onscreen message to that effect. Excellent - I like seeing this, it tells me the item or items are working. The

Many say that they don't want colors plastered on their units, and thats fine. What I suggest (to avoid seeing regulus in bright shiney pink) is to be able to use the interface toggle mini flags/warbanners that fly above the units body/behind their backs. On 1v1 when this is not an issue we can toggle it back off. Stop me if theres something like this in-place. Thats not a bad compromise there.

Of course I can *not* read such, but I must say this is the sort of information I do not want to be privy to. Its like explaining how a special effect in a movie is done. It is also to some degree why I am a proponent of greater randomization of various aspects of fare that I play. If I can glean such mechanisms/statistics from a game while playing it (nevermind from a list), then I think a game hasn`t done a good enough job of concealing such rules by which it operates. I kno

Hmmm. In time the expansions would depreciate in value too... this isn`t anything new. And its certainly not a detrimental testimonial concerning Ironclad and Stardock... you`re going to judge the quality of a product by whether or not it is cheaper than an older discounted product? Granted, sure, it may seem odd at some point in the future to see expansions selling for more than the original, but so what - at some point in the future , newer products invariably sell for more than the

Actually, Now that I think about it, Sins itself validates my idea - we *already* deal with autonomous factions interfering with our play: pirates . The game works pretty well despite them... the universe still turns.

I didn`t need reassurance that my idea would work (the entirety of Majesty provided that many moons ago), but go look at Demigod to see validation of my A.I. controlled concept... the armies in the game are completely automatic. And it works ... I hope the developers are seriously pondering this. Anyhoo, blah...
The visual part of this will be fixed in the next beta update. The mesh effect that is applied when a unit gets stunned or frozen, isn't resetting the unit to the correct original state afterwards. This occurs for some unit that have multiple mesh techniques, e.g. Grunts, Torchbearer, Tower's of Light.
Cool. Its always nice to hear devs who acknowledge things (!) like this. Also nice to hear (thanks oth

End Of Game Targetting When the game ends and I was just about to cast a spell or utilize an ability that requires a designation of area or target, I am still able to designate that area or target - I can still see & manipulate the targetting cursor onscreen in the world. This should not be: the game is over, all such interactions should be nulled/suspended. Occurs reliably with the Torch-Bearer. Probably common to the other

Torch-Bearer Reverts To Ice Form While Still In Fiery Mode I am not sure what triggers this. I switch to his fiery mode and suddenly, just as he enters his burning graphic phase, the graphics revert to his normal ice countenance. He is also once again upon the ground. As far as I can tell all abilities are as per fire mode, with fire abilities available as normal, just his representation is incorrect. Pretty rare. Might

Structure Materialization Freezes Unit My demigod stood where an enemy catapult/trebuchet defense structure had been prior to its destruction. My Torch-Bearer was in the process of casting his Ice Storm spell (beyond his current range - he was about to walk within range) when the defense structure reappeared. My Torch-Bearer was displace to the side of the structure, but kept walking into the structure, unable to turn away from it

I like having fun - I`m not looking to Demigod as the next candidate for Olympic sport in 2010. My suggestion for randomness is for subtle randomness: I am not at all suggesting that the premise of the game be betrayed, or that its tight flow be fundamentally destroyed. And since this is a skirmish game, I want to see stuff that will help provide a fresh experience after the umpteenth time playing it, just as I`d *still* like to see in Sins Of A Sola

The zoom works for me. The only valid point (imo...) is the dearth of ability to immediately tell a friendly Demigod from an unfriendly one. Otherwise the scale of the game, being less than that of Supreme Commander, is quite conducive to reliance upon zoom for keeping up with what is going on. I want less screen clutter, not more. Demigod works for me - just my vote.

Greetings, I suggest the following: 1. Make the A.I. army units that appear out of the gateways & portals appear in line with your character. You may already have this in the works judging from a few recalled video snippets I`ve seen, but nonetheless I would love to see specific beasts emerging when you play as the Torch Bearer and different ones for the Rook, ectetera. You would *not* need to make them different units, just alter the appearances to suit the

I just tried the beta this morning. Love it. The limited fog of war ranges and the slighty clunky controls (!) at first made me srcatch my head, but damn is there an engaging little game in there! Thumbs up guys! And for a beta, this code seems pretty solid on my machine. The skills of the demigods *are* the game... limiting their usage will slow the pace of play down and kind of thwart the role of human controllers, in my opinion. I want more, not different, at this point in time.</p

Interesting. Thanks for the read. I haven`t gotten my e-mail yet, but I assume Stardock is swamped with processing the pre-orders (all in one day, given they also charge credit cards today too). On the other hand (grin Devil`s Advocate`ishly), sending out a pile of e-mails isn`t that difficult. Eh, the former probably more than counters the latter. Anyway, good report. I`m glad they have a skirmish option, although I imagine playing with equally clueless (!) fol

I don't see the tiny amount of announced content as equal to one third of the content of a quality $30 expansion. This is, obviously, a matter of opinion. Compare it to a very good recent expansion--Civ 4's Beyond the Sword. For $30 you got new units, new buildings, new civs, new leaders, new wonders, major new gameplay conc
