FPS Test 'Run-Through'

I would like to see Demigod (and for that matter Sins Of A Solar Empire) feature a pre-set FPS test sequence via the option menu, something reminiscent of FEAR`s run-through, to help test and evaluate optimal game settings and acceptable performance of hardware. I don`t view this as frivolous, I view it as helpful to folks trying to establish a properly playable framerate versus visual beauty.

Not critical, but it would be appreciated. Please pass on to Ironclad folks too, if you may (!).

This would be nice. Able to keep framerates at a decent level is really paramount to just about any game.

Yeah WiC has a great example of this too.

 

Frankly, i think people should be FORCED to run an FPS test before playing online.  People shouldn't be able to see easily ruin games for others.

Either that or put keeping the game itself running smoothly at highest priority and if the graphics are getting pushed, so be it, it's the person's own fault. I wonder whether the game is already doing this, because it seems preternaturally smooth at lowish framerates (20-30 fps looks as good as 35-40 until you rotate the camera).
