Dear Devs, I DEMAND that you include the following in the next patch: 1) The ability to switch to first person mode. I want to be able to switch to first person mode on any planet or ship, so I can explore it and look around it, and any building, room, deck there is on it. I want to be able to interact with every individual on every ship and every planet, with multiple dialogue choices, and randomly generated plots and stories with all kinds of intrigue and adventure. I would be happy if they weren't so fiddly to build. All the resources you pump into those constructors could be better spent elsewhere.

I love the game, but honestly... the campaign sucks. It's very repetitive, and in each mission you have to build up your worlds all over again. The story is almost non-existant, and the videos are a bit pants. Sandbox is the way to play. Somehow I feel the campaign would have been better if turned into one giant scenario played on one large map, with events that trigger when certain planets fall etc. At least then you would avoid the loading times between missions, the repetiti

I think they do provide the square root, but for some reason the off-defences don't "drain" properly (in each round, defences get weaker each time they save you from damage). This means they take off too much damage from weapons over the course of the battle. I'm no expert either, but there is a big thread about it here somewhere.

Expanding, aggressive/passive Minors please! But that would make them Majors. They're meant to stay at home and not expand to other systems. Otherwise they're just another player race. That's true, making them play the same as majors would defeat the point of them being "minor". I would like to see them being a bit smarter though: less constructor/star base spam, and more t

How about nerfing Range for the mod, removing life support components, and making starbases look like stargates? Then to get anywhere your ship would need the assistance of a network of stargates to extend the range that they can travel.

When trying to make custom opponents, in the final tab the sliders seem to have a mind of their own. If I set the ability and economy sliders to the middle, go to another tab and return, they have changed position. Usually the ability slider goes up to about 3/4 of the bar, and the economy slider drops to about 1/4 of the bar. I tried changing them to the middle and saving immediately, but it doesn't seem to do any good. What's going on?

From what I've read, I don't really know what's going on, but check the GC2 folder in your MyDocuments/MyGames folder. The ships you design are saved there. I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard funny things happen if you load a game after deleting the designs for the ships. Also, try checking your GC2 installation folder, especially the gfx folder and sub-folders. Maybe some graphics files were removed after you uninstalled the demo. I've never played the demo, so I don't know what problems

I switch to a variety of different names on a whim. Common ones of mine are: Snakes/Serpents Birds Bugs Violent (Killer, Annihilator...) Violent and Funny (Assraper, Penetrator, Violator...) Egyptian/Greek Gods Final Fantasy 7 Characters/Summons etc.

That's a mega event. If you're a new player you should probably turn those off. I think those should probably be off by default. New players don't think to turn them off when they begin play, and lots of people associate the word mega with cool. I don't think the pirate event is overpowered, although whenever it occurs I have to repeat the same old boring routine of selling off all my ships and starbases. (Might as well get cash for them if the

Get rid of core ships for the player, except the important ones Aye, at least do this so we can use the names (i.e. Battlecruiser) on our own ships, lol. Also, can you put a toggle in the menu so we can stop the Planet, Research and Domestic windows opening as soon as the game starts/loads? Or at the very least, make sure the Domestic Window opens first. An option to automatically set the spending to 100% each game would

Judging from the replies in the "what do you want in the next patch" thread, some people have already planned several expansions and the sequel. I admire their enthusiasm and vision, but it bogs down the thread and hides sensible suggestions, like a toggle to make ship parts semi-transparent in the designer. Something I would like to see in an expansion, is a change to the colony rush and the economy. I think new planets should be dependant on their homeworld for supplies until they can

Hi, I was just wondering about something, but I'm at work and can't try it out myself. Does anyone know how fast the population growth is (without bonuses), and how many turns it would take for a population to grow by 1000 (etc.). I'd like to work this out to determine how I should set up planets to produce transports constantly without depleting their population. I know some of you love this stuff, so perhaps you've already worked it out. Thanks in advance.

Nice AAR. I think the size of the map helped you out a bit though. You met the other races quickly, and so reaped the benefit of trading early on. If they had more room to expand they might have shown off their superior manufacturing (etc.) abilities.
