I think there should be a bug fix patch, and then a seperate tweak and feature patch. Its not really fair for people who can't play to wait so the rest of us can have new stuff.

Probably the most important thing I've suggested so far (seriously) In the ship designer, can we have a little slider that adjusts the transparency of the pieces, so we can find hard points that are obscured by other pieces. Also, if it could select the hard point in the front of the view, rather than the one behind (meaning you have to rotate the very precisely to position the piece) that would be awesome too.

Custom Opponents and Ship Templates Could we combine these two features together to create races with more "flavour". It would be nice to assign two or three templates per hull size to a custom race. Then they would have their own distinct appearance. Life Support Tweaks I get a bit bored being able to go wherever I want on the map. It would be fun to tweak the effectiveness of life support on game set up. I know we can

-- Custom Races: I've read several threads about this and admit that I really don't understand the explanation for why Custom Races need to be disadvantaged vis-a-vis the exisiting Races in the game. How does that not create balancing/metaverse issues? As an avid player of Custom Races, please allow them to use the full allocation of bonus points. Adding negative racial picks, IMHO, would also add some real diversity to the game. I second the request for more logo and

Making the colony rush more fun would be cool (for people who use the game as a space empire simulator). It just makes more sense that an empire would be exploring for a long time before deciding to send settlers out to colonize new worlds. Perhaps worlds can be "claimed" by building an outpost first, and then colonized later. I thought Civ 4 was an improvement over Civ 3 in that respect. The settler spam phase of Civ 3 was annoying and repetitive.

I could write a novel about the things I want to see in the game, but I'm going to try and keep it as simple as I can. I know some things are best left for sequels, lol. Here are some things I would like to see. Some have been mentioned before, but this increases the chance of them being spotted. =D 1) More Mega Events! (see below) a) One I've been thinking about is a mysterious space-time event, that takes each of the sectors, and swaps it with another ra

I guess it depends what kind of games you play. I know quite a few girls who play games, but it usually seems to be RPG's and The Sims (which I also love BTW, the new Seasons pack is good fun). My sister likes playing Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy, and the Resident Evil games.

Turning Mega Events off if your not good at the game = Teh Win Seriously, the pirate event is so easy to get around. Research better ships, or go for faster transports and let them take out your enemy's defenders while you take their planets. Easy.

I think lowering the attack and increasing the speed sounds like a good idea. It's so easy for the player to abuse the event. You can build fast troop transports to outrun the pirates, and put all your research into soldiering, and they actually HELP. They take care of the defenders, all you need to do is stay out of their way and land your superior troops on undefended worlds. But the first things that need to changed about pirates are: - Pirates attack minors too (so unfair!
