>you may increase the value of loyality and courage in the raceconfig ;o) maybe some others too, they build up the characteristics of your species ;o) That has nothing to do with what he said. Loyalty is influence flipping, courage is an advantage when fighting outnumbered. Fairly sure neither have anything to do with surrendering. I

Be constructive, and don't use personal attacks. Something which *you've* just ignored by calling Birney a "moron" and an "idiot". Yeeesh Yes, I know I did. Do you have a problem? My only gripe about GalCiv2 is tha
Kryo did confirm it. It's right above you.
If I remember rightly, the bonuses apply to everything.
You, on the other hand, sound like a jerk, and you haven't added anything to the thread. Respond constructively next time Don't police threads, unless you want a proverbial hole torn into you. They didn't bother f
Vista isn't supported because the drivers aren't fully matured. I believe that's the vanila response?
that's kind of crazy for something as big as TGN. And Joeuser, stardock.com, poweruser.tv, etc etc. Hence the problem, really.
Your statement about this being a release candidate is a little hollow. Release candidate comes after beta testing is complete. How many games wait til they're 95% complete before they go to beta? It's common that they'll be shipped before the final bugs and balance gets ironed it. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#F
Do you write gaming software? Do you have any idea how a beta for a game works? I'm guessing no. Like I said, the beta testers for gc2 said it was ready about a month before Stardock released it. Oh look, it had the overheating crash problem. Because the small group (quite a bit more than 5 or 6 though) hadn't found every bug. Don't try and say "you know software" when you blatantly don't. And if you do, remind me never, ever to buy anything from you.
You know mumble, if you filter it so that "everyone using more than 3 brain cells who posted in this thread" is what counted, then your first post still holds true. Seriously, some people amaze me by defeating darwin.
They still have tons of things to do with DA from what I've read, and I just don't see the point of starting the beta here. Yes, they're testing it to catch bugs as they're developed. That's kind of the point. I'd
My comment would have looked better had I used the right smiley ( not ) Other than that And anyway, there's no reason to treat intelligent people as idiots <br
Except you dont judge success on how much money you didn't make. The fantasy game wasn't even being made, and society has been on development hiatus, which nullifies those points. Also, gc2 was, if I remember, deliberately delayed to work out bugs. Hence the rack of awards in 1st week. DA has also been delayed. And I personally expect a repeat perfomance.
Remind me to kill you with sporks, should I ever get the oppurtunity. I borrowed the computer Bill Gates taxes are worked on. It now keeps track of people I need to kill. With sporks. Playing God with genetics = win. Also, dinosaurs = win. Dinosaurs. With sporks.
It's just like when John Hammond mixed frog DNA with the dinosaur DNA. He got baby dinosaurs, but it had the unexpected result of allowing them to change gender. You can't imagine all the possible things that can go wrong in such a complex system. You have no idea how badly I want to do this.
Yeah, but those ignorant guys probably represent %95 or more of the people who play Galciv. I was ignorant of how much effort would be needed for hotseat until I read this thread. There's a difference between thinking "It wouldn't take THAT long, would it?" (blissful naivette), "It would be done quick enough to throw in easily" (mild ignorance) a
Rolling eyes! It's pretty easy to see how people just assume that hotseat would be a simple one hour operation though Yes it is, they're ignorant. Also, I'm fairly sure I recall Cari or someone saying it'd never be hotseat.
I'm hoping that this is not more than a one-hour-job Will you direct me to your dealer please?
Does our alien guest enjoy the company of supermodels? Could it be bono? Ten points to whoever gets that. A select few you can trust and anyone who reads the Galciv2 forums presumably? We're just that awesome.
Kryo, you have been one of the most helpful persons on this forum, all other just think they are smart and talk rubbish![/quote[ That's because kryo's paid to do this, we aren't. Thus we have much more freedom of speech
Ok, shadowmaster's here. Get out the pitchforks, it's carnage time.
Goddamnit, edit is still broken. Point 2: hotseat require one little check-box (And little more coding behind that maybe, but how hard can it be?) You're a moron if you believe that. It's extremely hard. Shut up about things like this until you get an inkling of what it's like to code hot-seat, please.
Ok, actually, the "not enough people want multiplayer" is truth, mmmk? No. DA was never, ever going to have multiplayer. RTFstickies.
Argh, the forum edit code appears borked. So I'll just chuck this on the end. For a simple man to live his life he needs structure to guide him You're an utter fraktard with no understanding of human psychology and if you believe any of the gibberish you spout you need to be locked away to be honest. While most people need stru
That hurt. That actually physically hurt to read. To the OP: I demand my ten minutes back. Yes, ten minutes it took me to manage to read that grotesque monstrosity. At the end of it all I surmised is that you need to keep taking your medication.
