Just manually look for the rootkit, if you're playing a starforce infested game. However, if he's installed it on the USB, there's no reason it should really be on the hard drive. And to manually look for it: Control panel - system - hardware - device manager - select "show hidden devices" - under "non plug and play drivers" will be starforce. (If it's there).
It's not true, stardock have removed starforce from digital distribution.
