Buttons are OK as long as you choose the option to "add to frame border" - at least, they show up....I had one showing up fine, but once I did, the window remained "active" when switching to another app unless you rolled the mouse over one of the title bar buttons (see https://www.wincustomize.com/msgboard.asp?BID=WCS&id=266757) Since the title bar text background image doesn't have an option to add to the window frame, I would expect it to remain tranparent if it overlaps in the title

a) if something is available for download, it doesn't mean it's available for people to use at will. It doesn't mean it's copyrite free unless it says so explicitly. Well, "all" I have left to do for my 2nd attempt at a submission now are: Scroll bars Column headings Treeview +/- Combo box ...a few other controls and misc easy bits, ...and the biggies.... Toolbar icons Dialogue animations Yikes... I'd also really like to have the menu separator bug fixed, which seems to be an issue in WB and I'd like to include a title bar animation if only I could think of something that would fit the theme...

Hmmm, I tried something similar just recently though not with the text background. I assume it's the text background bit which isn't working? I tried to have a button extend above the visible area of the title bar and it caused all sorts of glitches so I had to bin the idea....I suspect that the text background will be even more problematic as I don't think it has the option to "add to the frame border" that buttons can have. 'fraid I can't suggest a solution...just empathising...<img

Doesn't SS save a Universal skin format into UIS2 when applying it to WB? Anyhow, I'm afraid I've given up working in Universal Skin format as it had too many compatability issues when applied to WB...there are all sorts of bits which it fails to "convert", and so they don't work. Hmmm...I can see why it might suit some people, but a lot of people would choose to be listening to their own music rather than the theme authors choice. Pluse, how quickly would a looping track get anoying? Plus, isn't there a (C) issue when using existing works? Maggot - as I said on the other thread, if you want something to work, stick to the released versions. If you want the joys of beta software, be prepared for the trials too. You ought to be prepared for it to completely hose your machine even...it's a "use at your own risk" situation. *sigh* /me wonders what people think "show pre-release versions" means!

Hmmm, seems that creating ones own graphic doesn't solve this...not for me with the latest WB build anyhow. The minimised window still inherits it's transparency from the non-minimised window frames. Since I want the minimized frame to be non-recrangular I've tried using magic pink etc but to no avail (the magic pink bits show up as black instead)...so, for now I've "fudged it" by using a shade of grey similar to the MDI background image. However, it still has the problem that a small

Maggot - I've noticed with that build that if I have something else running which is taking a significant amount of processing time, then the switch to a new skin doesn't seem to complete fully. Graphics then appear with a mouse over/resize etc. It could be that something else on your system is interfering with the switching process, and WB in general. Rather than complain that beta software isn't 100% working, best to contact tech support directly [email protected]
