Some something I want to lend about this issue; JavaScript is not the same thing as Java. They are two completely different subsystems in a browser. Typically, browsers ship with their own javascript engine implementation. This is not something you can normally reinstall or uninstall without uninstalling/reinstalling the entire browser. BDBF, Try clearing your temp internet files/cache for Firefox. (Ctl+F5 Will usually work, otherwise try CCleaner for a more thorough function). Quoting is confirmed working with IE6, IE7, Firefox 2.x, Firefox 3.x, Opera 9.5x, Safari/WebKit (latest). This has been tested on multiple machines with the browsers listed.

Forum Update v1.6.3174.27495 in Forum Issues WinCustomize Forums

Version v1.6.3174.27495 of the forums was recently published. This was primarily a fix and maint. update. Fixed a problem with the new editor whereby inserting external images with smiles in the same reply or post was causing all manners of whackiness. Re-enabled the GalCiv2 metaverse medals. Your tracert isn't incredibly bad, but it isn't great either. We're not seeing anything in our logs which would lead me to believe that the servers, applications or network is running slow on our end. Chalk it up to a temporary problem, possibly routing, for now.

The WC Browser uses the IE control, so you're basically using IE. IE7 has no issue. This reply was made with IE6 on my machine at home. PuterDudeJim, I think what we're dealing with here is a communication/understanding problem with using the editor functions at this point. Please follow the instructions of those like Bebi and Xandai who have posted some help for you.
