Movin' On Up - Because it's north, and To the East Side - Because, well, it's east too. And then the Jefferson's Theme Song is just hilarious. Today is my last day at Stardock. Some of you have known for a while, and most have not. I've taken a position at another company on the other side of town here in metro Detroit. Several people asked me if I was going to do a post about splitting, and I figured I would let everyone know. I've been at Stardock for about 4 years now and have lear

neophil, that is a good example of a very nonconstructive comment. Please refrain from making those kinds of negative comments. It's not very nice and it really doesn't help the situation at all. We are using a very well established component that is used by big names and big players on the internet such as Wordpress. Adobe does not have an official 'Flah' (assuming you mean Flash there) version of an upload component, or anything as such.

If I were to guess, I would guess that you have Flash 10 installed. Adobe decided to release an update to flash that broke some essential functionality of the uploader. We're patiently waiting on a fix that should arrive in the next few days. In the mean time, downgrade to the last version of Flash 9 and the buttons should work again.

It took a little longer than was hoped, but Downloads for Skins submitted to the GUIC 08 will be working at about 10am EST. There's only the one skin approved, and one in the basket at the moment anyhoo :) Thanks for your (read: everyone's) patience with this.

For all you partisan peoples, CNN has a good article on Obama's policy agreements in common with Bush. And then theres this slew of links http://boards.real.com/showthread.php?t=29259 . We're hosed either way it goes. All everyone is arguing about now is the length and color of the hose. Oh, and whether or not we go with nylon brading or straight up rubber. Ohhh I like this one too.. <img src="http://rlv.zcache.com/wer

I like that they are removing a lot of the built in applications to 'lighten the load'. Now if they could only manage to 'disconnect' IE from the shell (explorer.exe) that would be something. All in all, this new os will have to be pretty impressive to compete with XP for installation on my machine(s). Vista, as it stands now, sure cant compete in terms of performance on my computers.
Assuming they are actually uploading.........You probably need to log out of both the main site & the forums, clear your browser cache (ctrl+F5) then log back in to both the main site and the forums.......and you need to give them time to propogate across all the servers.
This was true of the old system (and attempting to update via your personal wc site/main wc site), however it's not true of the new system (impulsedriven.net, joeuser.com, forums). Yes, that's been considered. Ads are a touchy subject here internally as they are within the community publicly. Unfortunately I dont have any more info to lend other than to say that it's been discussed in the past.

I saw screenshots of litestep, and when I went digging into what exactly it was, I found geoShell. (The old, true geoShell. Not the outdated, seldom updated, patchwork mess you'll find today) Then I started developing for it, worked with one of the guys on getting skinning going in it and then started working on my own skinnable apps. From there I was pretty much sucked in. Kapsules followed and now my employment with the company that haunts your dreams with visions of titlebars and pushbutto

Nighttrain, that would be a damned shame. I'm at a loss for words at the mere prospect of that being driven by fraud. Talk about a loss of consumer confidence...

SinTactics, please make a note that we don't usually support beta versions of browsers. Chrome and IE8 could have issues, but we don't make a habit of getting the sites ready for a new browser (or version) until they put out a release candidate :)

The editing should be set today. Finally got some time to take care of that. Karma is fixed too, that was a little js problem. Po, moving ahead, try to post forum issues in the Forum Issues forum ;) I have a fun little app that alerts me when new posts have been made to that forum ;)
