Yeah, I've been registered on classmates for many years, and reunion for a couple. I paid the money at classmates and have emailed and gotten in touch with several of my old school friends. Some I still keep in touch with from time to time, others I doubt I will ever talk to again, and that's okay.............at least I know how much they've changed over the years, and that they're still out there somewhere.

Thank you, oleteach. I am extremely flattered by my inclusion in your poem. They came by this morning to visit and use the computer (to get utilities and phone service started), and their daughter watched VeggieTales and played with the kitties. She called us into one of the bedrooms to help her, as she had gotten stuck while climbing on the cat's stratching post. We had to take a picture! <img src="http://us.f2.yahoofs.com/use

Thank you, Geezer. We just got back from dinner. They ended up having to stay in a hotel tonight...............they had more of an allergic reaction to the kitties than we all thought they would. I'll get to see them in the morning again, though. btw, when are you going to post another article? I'd like to hear how your dr. appt. went last week. hope everything is okay.

This last week has been busy, but for the most part, absolutely wonderful. I have a job I really enjoy, not so much for the job itself, but for the people I work with. Earlier this week we had one of my co-workers and his new wife over for dinner and we had a really nice time. I'm still readjusting to being around other people after my hermetic life while hubby was

he racked up more than $100,000 in a government expense account. And that was over how many years? Compare that to the current salaries earned by our elected leaders, and the government expense accounts they still have access to, and the considerable tax benefits they have as well. It's nowhere near

Reminds me of my grandparents. When I was younger I adored them both and was in awe of my grandfather. As I got older, it became more and more difficult to be around them. Not because they had changed, but because I had grown, and learned, and I couldn't handle the way he treats her. I love my grandfather, but if I'm around him much, I want to slap him or shake him, or something, anything to get him to see what he's done to her. I love my grandmot

I imagine by now the five and a half hours have passed, or are at least close, so you won't see this for awhile. Hope you have a wonderful first night with hubby home!!!!

Similar to many discussions I've been involved in about names in the military. Some people should really think about what they're going to be called before they join a service. Especially in the Navy. Their lower enlisted ranks are referred to as Seaman. Two female sailors I've heard of had the last names of Stain, and Guzzler. Add their rank, and it's a bad combination. Maybe they should have joined the Air Force, or the Army. Although, the one

As I was walking back towards the house this morning, the sun came up. We live on top of a hill and my morning walk follows the ridgeline. Most of the land is still being developed, so it's not crowded with houses, and the view is wonderful. My reward for braving the dark this morning....................ths most beautiful sunrise I've seen in many a year. Thank you Lord!

So few people with real talent actually get a chance like that. I would hope you would at least talk with them, find out what they have in mind. You don't have to end up like Britney Spears. Just be yourself, and take advantage of the opportunities you are given. If you don't, ten years down the road you may be kicking yourself in the rear, trust me.

I hope you took your neighbor up on the offer. That's one thing I miss not being in military housing. There was always someone around to help, or someone I could help. Enjoy his leave!!!!

I've felt like this several times, which may be part of why all of my jobs to date have ended up as "temporary" jobs. I'm still working towards the job I want, but there's always a fear that when I finally get to teach, I won't want to anymore. Good Luck!

I went for a walk this morning. Actually, I've been walking about an hour in the morning almost every day this week, and I'm hoping to make it a habit. But this morning was different. This morning I went out earlier. This morning it was dark. For those who read my last article ( Link ), you wi

1/ Did you have a nickname ?. What was it, and how did it come about ?. This could be a bit telling. I've had alot of nicknames over the years, but the one I was the most proud of (at the time) was one from junior high.......Psycho-bimbo-bitch-from-hell. I'm not really sure where the bimbo part came in, but at the time I fancied myself as a real badass, spent alot of time beating people up (mostly boys), and formed a gang with a bunch

I wish i could find an article i read some years ago that studied the finances of about a dozen "average working moms." I've seen and heard similar statistics, but it was a few years ago. At that point, the stats were that 90% of all working mothers could come home for about $400 a month. In the mili

As far as not having seen certain movies (or knowing about them at least).....................at one point in Cannonball Run Jackie Chan puts a video in while he's driving. I didn't know that it was a real movie ( Behind the Green Door ).
