Should WinCustomize support IM goodies?

AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Instant Messenger, etc. have all kinds of interesting "goodies" that you can download of them. Avatars, Emoticons, Winks, Backgrounds, etc. And probably even more than we're thinking of.

The question is, should WinCustomize have a section to support these kinds of things? Let us know.

I vote for Trillian, please!!
It supports all major IMs and there are already a lot of skins out there (see deviantart)

I currently get my Trillian skins from deviantart, and there are some great ones!
Plus, they are ALL FREE and they are created by people like you and me.

A Trillian (including 3.0) section is sorely missing from WinCustomize.

All you people who are saying it would ruin this site, can you explain why deviantart hasn't been hurt by including Trillian??? I'd love to understand your logic here.

I think it would be nice to see a liitle more added to the library! MSN Messenger, Trillian, Avedesk!
I think it would also attract a lot more people to this site......... but more people means more paying customers!
And also slower load times for us! P.S. Deviantart is definately a better site than this for getting skinned!

Well, seeing as Stardock is adding the ability to create Trillian skins in SkinStudio, this place would be prefect for them. This site hosts skins for EVERY aspect of a windows PC, why should we leave out Instant Messengers? My vote its yes, specifically for Trillian Skins, since there is a big lack in skins that run correctly on their new version 3 client. The ones that exist presently on deviantart.com stink bigtime. mebe the people here that have GREAT talent with windowblinds skins can make great contributions to the Trillian skinners community.

well first off i think its a good idea...but this is "WIN" customize right??? so i would only expect to find things for skinning the Windows OS....i do support you making IM skins for any IM progams people choose to use, but then you would have to change yer site to www.customize.com because you would be hosting a variety of skins for various programs not just Windows!!!i think the variety would be fantastik but you would also be taking the "WIN" out of wincustomize!!!which would suck i think......

Personally I don't see anywhere in Brad's inital post does he mention "skins". He says "Goodies" and he even gave a few examples, "Avatars, Emoticons, Winks, Backgrounds, etc." Those I wouldn't mind seeing here, but skins for IM clients, you can find those anywhere on the net.

I don't really change or add avatars, backgrounds and the like that often. Of course partly that is due to the fact that they are not readily available. However partly it is because I don't care to mess with it. But that's me. I'm sure there are plenty who do like to mess with it and I don't see how having a sectino here would hurt WC at all. The few times I have looked for Trillian skins it has ended up fruitless. Putting a section here doesn't mean that the quality goes up though, but perhaps we might see better submissions.
Barring a Trillian only section, then one that provides "goodies" that will work with all seems like a good idea.

It would be nice to see skins for Trillian because thats the program I use but to see other skins and emoticons for other people would be nice too.
