Should WinCustomize support IM goodies?

AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Instant Messenger, etc. have all kinds of interesting "goodies" that you can download of them. Avatars, Emoticons, Winks, Backgrounds, etc. And probably even more than we're thinking of.

The question is, should WinCustomize have a section to support these kinds of things? Let us know.

I think a skin library for IM clients would be awesome!

[QUOTE]Mind you I didn't see any links to WC on Firefox's page, and it got added to the library the 1st time it was asked for.[ENDQUOTE]

Exactly . And let's face it : the amount of skins produced for Firefox thusfar on WC isn't exactly enormous as well . There are a lot more skins for Trillian 2+ on Deviantart as well .I don't understand how WC can ask this question about goodies for all the seperate messengers out there while we have Trillian out there .

As a MSN user, I would love to see the talent of the people here, put to emoticons, winks and such. I think it's an outstanding idea.

Am I the only one who finds www.im2.com not only more STABLE than Trillian but 100% skinnable?... I'd vote for IM2 skins any day of the week. Check out the client, sometime; well worth it, IMO.

I will be in the minority. While I enjoy using Trillian every once in a while, I just think it would be a shame to put more of a bandwidth strain on WC for something as silly as IM stuff.

If there had to be something, I would vote for Trillian skins. But I just don't see it being worth it to allocate bandwidth for that other stuff.

Please make a section for it especially for trillian! I have used it for 4 years now, and will not go back to another IM program! I just wish it would match my other skins!

Keep it simple and all inclusive in one category, it would be a good thing.

It would be great for IM's to be included on Wincustomize! You could organize it so that you only have to click on an IM section this would presemt you with a list of IM's to choose (and i mean any and all IM's that can be customized not just MSN and AOL (although i only use MSN))from and then you can pick from a list of what the goodies actually are "skins, emoticons, etc" It would be excellent, mainly because the new MSN 7 has plenty of tools and other addon programs but there are hardly any skins out there and the ones you can find rarely work!

No please. I come to WinCusto for WB skins, IconPackager sets and CursorXP themes. If I were at all interested in Avatars, Emoticons, Winks, or Backgrounds (which I'm definitely not), I'd got to a site like deviantART.com or something.

Does WC need the traffic? Does it want the traffic?
Will it drive business to Stardock? Otherwise . . . pass on IM.
