Ok, if you have had uploading issues please try again. Make sure that are on the  www server and not the www2.  THough both should work I have put some debug code on the www server that will help be track what is going on.  If you experience a problem please post the name of the skin, the library and the problem you are experiencing in detail.

Okay, what should the average waiting time be for, say, an ObjectDock icon before it appears on the site? Naturally I don't want to inundate the queue with repeat submissions if they ARE going through but there's a delay further on!

i've uploaded my wallpaper 10 days ago
i dont know if it has been approved or not!!

i guess not coz i could not find it anywhere on the site!!

the name of the wall is blue biohazard!!
i have no idea wats going on with the wallpaper!!...lol

hope somebody can tell me wat m i to do in such a situation??!!

Still having intermittent problems uploading to the Wallpaper Library.

Received a message "Cannot display this page" on 1/1/2005, which I have seen quite a bit in this library.

I can open all other pages on the net, so it is probably an issue with WC.

User level 5, Bitmap name, .jpeg preview name, and .zip file name all match.

Loading from same directory as other successful wall uploads have come from in the past.

Please help at your earliest convenience.

I have uploaded a few walls, and I received a notification of success for the one that made the grade within 3 days.

After uploading, you will see a message saying something like "Please allow up to 5 days to be made available".

I have had a number that did not make the grade, and I never received any notification concerning those ones.

If I understand correctly, you will receive a notification if your submission has been accepted, or if your submission does not meet the guidelines. The wallpaper library probably has a very large number of uploads, so the staff does not have the time to send notifications to all submissions that don't quite make the grade.

If you have an account, you can look at the drop down list in the "My Skins" tab at the top right area of any page, and I believe this will show the progress of your submissions to some extent.

so do u mean that my wallpaper will never be approved and theres' not point in waiting???

does wincustomize at least show that the theme does not meet the requirements and cannot be approved???

My guess would be that it won't be posted.

This site is in a word "picky" about the wallpapers that are approved, which is a good thing from a certain point of view.

I know it makes me try to improve my skill in making walls.

Another post on this site explains that the "moderators" used to reply to all submissions, but that due to some abusive responses to art not being accepted and the resulting loss of moderators, they changed the policy to prevent perpetuating a probable bad situation.

Do not dispair though, there are a couple of forums that speak to the making of wallpapers and what to avoid while designing them in order to get them past moderation and onto the site. Just use the "search" feature on the left side of site pages and type in "Wallpaper guidelines", you will see two forums by TasT in the OS Customization section.

I hope this helps in some way.

Bladeron,

If you have anything published in a library, you will have the option (as long as you are logged in) to delete your art work.

There is no need to delete anything that did not make it past moderation as it is not published on the site.

BTW, WC and Stardock reserve the right to use any accepted art for future use in publications or if we are lucky, use as extras included with software packages.

Wouldn't that be great!

It may be worth the effort to try again.

I am still having inconsistency in being able to upload to the Wallpaper library.

Bitmap name: BloodStoneWall, Preview = BloodStoneWall.jpeg (795 KB), Bitmap Zip = BloodStoneWall.zip (4.61 MB)

Result = "Cannot display this page" message.

Uploading on www.wincustomize.com - tried with both WC Browser and IE Browser, neither worked.

Please help at your earliest convenience.

In the "my account" page under "update images", none of the images like desktop and icon are showing. When I upload my desktop it shows a broken image link.

I've tried 100 times to upload a new iconset for iconpackager ( ShinyBlack.ip, BSC1.jpg ), with IE & Firefox too and neither works. Is there a bug with my account?

Sorry for not getting back here in a while to check on the uploading problems.  For all uploading issues regarding Personal/Desktop images please email [email protected] and provide George with the information regarding the problem.

In regards to uploading to Gallery/Library.  I just increased the timeout further incase anyone is still experiencing timeout issues.  If you are getting errors when uploading please let me know how long it takes for the error to occur and you press the submit button.  Also let me know exactly what the error message is and what connection speed you have.  It can also be handy to let me know what Library you are uploading to and what the skin name is.  The more information you provide the easier it is to solve the problem.

When uploading at the old site you used to get a indicator in ( My Skins ) that there is a skin pending, is this no longer the case ? If this function is no longer there whow dose one know if your submission has actualy taken plce. I have noticed that even when you get the notice at the end of the prosses to wait five days for your skin to post it may very well not actualy be in the system or get lost It would seem the a return to submission ( pending or an equivelent would be a good idea )

On your My Skins page you can select from the  Display drop down list the option to show "Awaiting Moderation".  This will show your skins that are still waiting to be moderated.

Also, for upload troubles to the Gallery/Library.  I just added some more debug code so if you have been getting errors when trying to upload an item to the Gallery please try again.  Hopefully I will be able to get some debug info to help me isolate the problem(s).

I uploaded a wallpaper pack today, but it doesn't show up under the "My Skins" tab. How do I know if it's approved or not like on the old site, where it said "waiting approval"?

I submitted something for the first time today...wouldn't say this is an upload issue and I'm not sure if anybody has mentioned it before (sorry I didn't know where else to post this) but I noticed that the Description box is TINY. Had to have been like 130x45 in size or something, not much space to see what description you're typing in. >_< Maybe this could be made bigger to make it easier to type in a description, similar to typing up a post here on the forums?

Just wanted to let you know that there seems to be a problem on my home page. The stats havent seemed to work for about 3 days at least. And I have been looking at my download count for the screenshots ... they havent worked at all. I dont know if they are supposed to work anymore..anyways this is just for information. If you get the time maybe you could take a look and see whats wrong. Thank you in advance.

ive uploaded about 5 wallpapers but they never show up and this is in the course of the last month or two. idk is it just that you dont like my stuff or...what? lol

I can't seem to get the "Sorta Clear" toolbar icons to work for IE... I installed them into my WB folder, and they weren't there.. 2x's I installed them, and until I did a search through the C-Drive > Program Files > WB did I see them, (they weren't showing up in the library). I opened them and browsed for the program to open them, (they appeared in the library after that), When I click on them to apply... XP's Default icons show up


Still Happening
