Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

werewolf, do you subscribe to the theory that the best defence is a strong offence?

if so, then perhaps we should hunt down JavaBrain, and see how much chocolate can be released by tickling her?

/me thinks this idea sounds fun
None! I already ate all the chocolate!! Tickle all you want, but you're not getting any of my chocolate!
that sounds like an invertation it would be impolite to refuse

/me grabs a selection of pegasus feathers and goes looking for a JavaBrain to tickle

Well, Faramir, you should be afraid of werewolves. I will help feline tickle karma girl and see what happens next. But beware...much to the embarassment (sic? Jafo??) of my werewolf sensibilities, I am extremely ticklish.

I want to put in a little daddy/personal thing here:

Saturday, my 14 yo daughter, my 10 yo son and I tested for and passed our blue belt test in Korean TaeKwanDo. This was an endurance test and is the hardest test we take on our quest for a black belt. My children handled themselves admirably and I am quite proud of them. At one point we were sparring 3 adult black belts at the same time and my son, who is all of 4' 5", got in a couple of good shots My daughter, who is shy and non-aggressive, but a former state ranked gymnast, kicked one of her opponents in the face and knocked him backwards during one of her 1 on 1 contests. This was a full grown 2nd don black belt dude. Hee Hee. He was cutting her just a little too much slack.

This was the hardest physical thing I have done in my entire 47 years of living. I thought I was going to pass out during the sparring portion (we have 5 individual contests, non-stop, then 2 on 1, then 3 on 1, non-stop. My peripheral vision started closing in on me, but I, and my children have prevailed. So, now just a red belt and then the black belt.

So, again, faramir, you should be afraid of werewolves, who are now, just a little bit, more dangerous.

It doesn't matter how many black belts you have, a swift tickle will bring anybody to their knees...

hey, I forgot what my idea was.... about more people posting here... Oh wait I remember.

/me will show you!!!

Werewolf, congratulations!

/me is duely impressed

Though I don't remember Korea being in Middle Earth

Werewolf, congrats on the Blue belts! It's nice that you and your family have that activity together.

Our family drag races. We are already saving up for a Jr. Dragster for my daughter (who is now 3 1/2). She loves to go fast in cars. Her favorite thing to do right now is to ride around in my '86 Trans Am with the T-Tops off. She says it's her race car. (My hubby races an '85 Camaro). She also *loves* riding on snowmobiles, and tells me that I don't drive fast enough. She's a funny kid.

Hmmmmm.....being tickled by Feline and Werewolf.....what if all that tickling makes werewolf hungry and he accidentally eats Feline? That wouldn't be good.....

Thanks guys. Damn I'm sore all over

KarmaGirl...I would never devour feline..I might nibble a portion or two though

It is nice when the kids enjoy your hobbies. Makes great memories for both of you. "remember when that bug flew into your mouth?"

What's a Jr dragster? Go-cart kinda thing?
So how come only the lucky few get to be tickled?
well, come here fuzzy...

/me pokes and prods trying to get fuzzy to giggle
Reply #1464 Top
we could just have a big wad of tickling!

A Jr. Dragster is pretty much what it says. It is a dragster, but smaller. They run a 1/8 mile instead of 1/4. They have a go-cart motor on steroids in them. The fast ones run 1/8 mile in around 8 to 10 seconds.

KarmaGirl: And your daughter is 3 1/2? When do you plan on getting her this speedster? She should be ready for the Grand Prix in a few years
Reply #1467 Top
Your 3 year old daughter drives a race car???

Little kids knocking people out?

What is going on here???? Give peace a chance!!

So now I'm even more pissed off with Microsoft than usual. The last few days my pc has been freezing, with the reset button as the only way out. Turns out clever Windows XP has, by itself, downloaded and installed the latest drivers for my Voodoo 5. Only these Microsoft drivers are older and rate half the speed (sysmark 2001) of my Amigamerlin drivers which were there before. A quick roll back of drivers has sorted it. Would you beleive it, the damn thing has just tried to download them again. This time I stopped it, plus I've turned off the auto update feature.

**$%&**^** XP! >
Win2K now has that ?feature? It just seems really arrogant of MS to assume that *they* would have the best whatever and then just dl and install it without saying anything. That option should *always* be turned off by default.
I agree. **$%**^**MS! >
I ended up finding out about it by accident. I upgraded the little app which checks for updates and such. I didn't realize that MS had added this little goodie to it. iirc it was trying to update my video drivers as well. I was able to stop it before it did. Freaks!

Good day everyone!!

This thread seems to be slowing down a tad.

Where's feline? Must be a busy kitty.

So, how's the world treating everybody?
and now for something completely different...

Why in the world is Austin Powers such a success?? I liked the first 2 movies and will see the third, but they are dopey movies and the title character is such an idiot, but so lovable baby...

Some of us are OK. I suspect some others are either worn out from too much tickling or have bellies swollen by chocolate fests. What a way to go!

The weather here in the UK is terrible. It's turning out to be the coldest July on record. A couple of days have seen a high of only 15°C - aaaagh! I can't see many suntans about! What's the rest of the world doing?

We just had a Texas blow-up. We get these hard thunderstorms which appear out of nowhere, rains flood the streets, high winds knock down branches, and then disappear. Blue skies again. Yesterday one of those took the temp from 100 to 73 in 20 min. Pretty intense.
