Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

Hey Doreen. I managed 8 days without my PC. Who would have thought that possible?

/me thinks if you dump the kids and the job you can take as long a vacation as you wish...
yeah well me cannot manage 8 hours w/o mine, my body don't run off of blood it runs off of electricity and electronic pulses and stuff like that... hehe

as far as dumping my kids I tried that but they keep following me all over! (and I think I love them anyways) when they get to the teenage years I may try the dumping thing once again...

Doreen...What ever happened to the interview with Teddy?
You ever considered a direct fusion between you and the pc? You know, a Borg type assimilation. You'd have to wear one of those skin tight Borg outfits though...

Blood? They found some of that in my alcohol stream once...

Doreen...You enjoyed it?? There must be more to this character than it seems. I just read an old interview with Nuvem you did. Nice job. Anticipating the Aafus interview.

Fuzzy well I'm pretty much fused to my machines now... hehe
(truth is I have to stay pretty close to wall jacks cuz of my work) but I do get my little breaks & it's good cuz I love machines ALOT and my job gives me an excuse to be close to machines?
other wise I'd have family & friends complaining at me...
(my family knows to put a laptop in my casket when I pass)

Hmmm...
Fuzzy Logic - "beware of the barmaids. Mine kept me up till 4am"
So, now we know where the "fuzzy" in "Fuzzy Logic" comes from!

That sounded like a nice vacation. I like to get away (from computers) once in awhile to give my brain a break. Actually, last night I went fishing with my husband and daughter (she's 3 1/2). It was pretty fun. Didn't catch anything that was bigger than 6 inches long, but it was fun anyways. My daughter actually caught 3 fish all by herself (she has a little Snoopy pole).

Of course, then I came home and checked my email....

ok... I am beginning tho think this post is a plot to slowdown this site and I am going to report it to the closest adminastrator to me.

BTW
Does anybody ever put cinnamin in there hamburgers?? It tastes reallly good. I'll make it for the party we are going to have when WindowBlinds reaches 2000 skins

Okaaaay

I haven't been back in age, and it's a no wonder. This site takes forever to load on the connection, and since we're having construction right outside my house, internet really doesn't work well when going for a long time... so wincustomize ends up timing out if I don't hit "stop"

so I guess I wouldn't really be back from this point on, as I may be making a few trips back to Taiwan this up coming month..sooo..

As soon as I get back to Houston, I'll check in with you guys, mmkay? Until then, happy chatting

speaking of blue tooth has anybody heard about the technology??? I here it is on heck of a wireless communication device that lets you computer send messages to the printer (or any listening device with nluetooth that is part of your system) by wireless connection

saw it on CNET

Yeah, you can read about Bluetooth at: http://www.bluetooth.com/tech/works.asp

I think that MS will do something to replace it, though (that's my thoughts- no proof yet)

joetheblow- I'm the closest admin, and I'm part of the problem

I don't eat Hamburgers (don't eat any meat but Fish) but Cinnamon would probably taste good in them. My family makes a "Chili sauce" for meat (tastes good on veggie burgers too) that is a tomato base, and it is seasoned with sweet spices like cinnamon.

hmm...all that talk of food makes me hungry....nah, it just makes me want to chase down some coffee.

ah, it is far more subtle and devistating than that.

and the best bit is that most of the admins have already fallen under our spell

/me waits expectantly for the dramatic lightening to acompany this dramatic anouncement

joetheblow - Does anybody ever put cinnamin in there hamburgers??

i like cinnamon in fruit cake, and apple crumble.

the apple crumble is lovely. 5 thin layers of bread crumbs and suger, and 3 thick layers of slightly cooked apple with cinnimon.

the smell while it is cooking is enought to drive you mad.

we normally make one that the recipy book says is designed to serve about 12 people. me and my sister normally finish the whole thing off the same afternoon we cook it

ah, would that be the horrible dry fruit cake shops sell?

our home cooked fruit cake is all soft, moist and lovely, so long as you like raisens as sultana's
Reply #1421 Top
Do you soak your fruit cake in rum and Peach liquor? (Try it, it's tatsy). You soak cheese cloth in the alcohol then wrap the fruit cake with it. Then, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap. Let it sit for a week in the fridge.

Yum! Those three pots were good! Got any more?
wow, talk about labour intensive cooking!

the fruit gets boiled up with margarine, sugar and water for about 15 minutes to get it all moist and plump. then simply mix all the ingredients together, and cook.

total work time to prep about 10 minutes, and you can do something else while it is cooking, like making pancakes!!!

Testing the chat client in SB. Works well. Couple of little tweaks and it'll be good to go. Brian is a genius.

JoeTheBlow...Ever tried Dijon Plum Sauce on burgers? Wonderfull specially if grilled.

Faramir...Sauron is over at #stardock. Watch out. Haven't seen Legolas. (sorry...on good meds at the moment )

Elfkura...Have a wonderul trip.

Faramir hopes that those pancakes have chocolate chips in them

who is this strange person, and why are they watching *MY* pancakes so intently???
