Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

i have now been reduced to using the command:

my fault wolf, I keep driving craeonics crazy w/ fixing my spelling/typos and stuff...
don't know exactly when he will post it but when he gets things done on it and gets a break in his time schedule he will shoot it up on Tek. (shouldn't be too long now)

it is a two branced regular expression search

i have spent most of the last 2 days trying to find a certain piece of text in hundreds of data files.

it would be nice if i could simply say "find this piece of text", but unfortunately it isnt that simple. however, i may have finaly found an example. now to just extract it in one piece.

Hey??? I have a site question:

I am starting a site that has anime and it will have allot of images, files, a message board, streamcasting and movie files on the database. It will also have downloads of stuffs for user who sign on, a theme manager (like this site, thanks for the inspiration ) and other goodies.

This site gets allot of traffic and I would expect mine to get allot to. With all of the downloads, large files, images, categories, user icons, emoticons.... yadda yadda...

Who should I look for as a host for a site like that? (bear in mind this site won't be up for like a year or more, so maybe I'm asking to early).

I want php but not sure if I should use that.
any suggestions?

Joe, this site is done in ASP

Cogent is pretty cheap in bandwidth, but you still might gasp in shock when you find out how much it costs.
