well, i disapered on several fronts:
a) evil monsters keep on stealing the net connection from this machine
my new home machine arrived, and i spend most of the weekend formatting, installing and playing, so didnt get here
c) works continuing attempts to drive me mad are distracting me

What is the record for number of posts?
Has there even been a thread over 400?

I think I will go ask T-Man, he should know...

I can understand why you wouldn't want to open this thread with a dial up connection- it's painful to do anything on dial up......that's all I have at home, too....

/me wonders at relative perceptions

i only have dial up at home, and from this machine it is hardly any faster. often it is slower to be honest, and certinally more unreliable.

i have been pondering asking this for a while, and now seems as good a time as any.

has anyone worked out what human males are for?

they have many useful and redeaming features, it is true. however, i have always found that human females have SO many more such features, that males pale in comparison.

Human males are for killing spiders & cuddling w/ when they are not killing spiders...

oh and lifting heavy objects too!

just in case that isnt enough to keep people busy, i have another long standing question.

parties. what is this fascination people seem to have with them?

perhaps i simply have the wrong end of the stick, but what i have seen over the years suggests that during said events there is very little oportunity for quite and settled conversation with interesting people you may have met there.

there is also the paired question of why people seem so keen on drinking lots of acohol at said parties. that at least makes more sence, but i still feel it would be better to produce an environment where people could meet and mingle without needing assistance to feel more relaxed and comfortable in each others presence.

What are males for? Well, it's hard to reproduce without one. They are also good at fixing your car (of course, that depends on the male). They are also good at forgetting things that matter, and spending all your money on senseless toys (like race cars and snowmobies). Besides that, they are good for killing creepy crawly things, lifting heavy things, and whining about your mother. They are also good at keeping you warm at night and snoring in your ear....mine does the dishes...I love my hubby!

I met my hubby in the Dorm at college. I talked to him for about an hour with my Iguana (Kato) hanging from my arm....of course, I was also drunk from too many long island iced teas, but that's beside the point.

It's been forever since I came back here... Sorry guys. I've been packed with a lot of things recently, one being my birthday.

It's a week before spring break. Classes are rushing a bit of stuff before the break comes along. Busiest times are usually before and after these times...and the time before finals.....

School is hard, teachers can't seem to even things out very well =/

Been through the whole college thing.....can be stressful, but so can work (but, at least you get paid for work..)

Man, this must be the longest thread ever on WC...it takes forever to load, even on a T1

Well, it appears I'm a day late on this, but for the record: Most of us males worthy of being called males are good for pretty much everything females are good for (short of the obvious things like giving birth). The breadth of our capabilities would probably surprise most women. Of course, capability and action are two different things....

And if you have questions, it's easier if you just ask it on the msgboard. That way, when someone knows he or she can help you, he or she will. Asking to be added to an aim just doesn't fly here... because of a few reasons.
